After building a competitive eldar list I thought it time to have a bit of fun. I'm building a salamanders list, with some fluff in it and I'm trying to use models I like. I'm used to eldar so let me know if this list is awful...

HQ
captain with PF, +2 armour on bike
Command squad, combi flamer and melta, x2 PW, champion, apothecary on bikes

TROOP
6 man tactical squad, flamer and sgt. With PF
Razorback twin heavy flamer

5 bikes, x1 flamer, sgt. PF, attack bike MM

ELITE
Assault terminators with SS & TH

Dreadnaught, MM, PF and flamer
Drop pod

HEAVY
Thunderfire cannon
Land raider redeemer

Allies

HQ
Cortaez

TROOP
X9 acolytes, +4 armour, bolters
Priest, chain sword and bolt pistol
Dedicate transport Valcory

X9 acolytes, +4 armour, hotshot las
Priest with chain sword and bolt pistol
Dedicate transport Valcory

Your dread will get mullered dropping in on it's own - an ironclad will do a bit better but it can be tricky to position it if you don't have anything else dropping in.

Salamanders don't get much benefit from bikes but if you still want to run them i would max the flamers out.

You seem to have a lot of powerfists considering you have TH/SS termies as well, i don't think they are all necessary.

With the inquisition i've always considered the priest as a melee buffer, jokaero is better for a ranged unit.

Think that's all :)

I've never even looked at the jokaero's stats as I hate the model but after reading I can see why they buff a shooty list.

Cheers for the advice, I will defo need to include them

Just use a counts -as if you don't like the model. I'm using a Warmachine Vassel mechanic but a techpriest or something more imaginative would work equally well.

good thinking, I think a tech priest is far better looking than an orangutan
