You should decrease the amount of combi-meltas on the sternguard squad because they don't need so many. 3-4 is fine for a ten man squad, but 10 combi-meltas is overkill and a waste of points. :victory:

-I'd suggest switching this bad boy out for a DC dreadnought. You already have a hood in the army and he's riding in the Raven so you don't need his wing power.

Stern Gaurd Squad (10 Man)-300
10 Combi Meltas
-Overkill on the meltas.

-Again overkill, you'll destroy whatever you hit and then be destroyed by the rest of your opponent's army. I'd make them cheaper or drop them.

-Running one of these at 2000 points with no other valid high priority targets means this guy's going down first turn.

I'd suggest you rework your army to add in more close combat threat so even if your raven goes down you'll still have other units to follow up.

Sanguinary preist goes with assault squads so the get feel no pain attack bikes bust tanks that are a threat to the storm raven gun ship.

I wasnt sure weather to put lemartes in the death company or to put the death company in storm raven instead of the stern gaurd.
(Lemartes would replace the devastators)

The devastators seem out of place here because the whole army is mobile besides them. Also put the death company in the storm raven since they can assault out of it and you would have no need for the jump packs. Then with the points you save from the jumpacks you could buy a drop pod for the sternguard.

Sorry, but it's either Mephiston or the Death Company in the Stormraven. He's not an IC so he can't join them and it's one squad of up to 12 and/or a dreadnought. Not 12 models and/or a dread.

I'd have some other comments, but I'm wiped after driving home from the beach and am going to bed. More later I promise.

As promised, cause I knew it was killin ya havin ta wait , here are a few comments on your latest list version. Also one of your PVs is way off. A DCF with no upgrades is only 125, not 175.

One Drop Pod equals 2 gift KP for your enemy. It comes down turn 1, all alone, and if it actually puts the Sternguard in a position to do anything useful it's totally unsupported.

If you are going to put the DC in the Stormraven you probably don't want to bother with jump packs. Use those points to bulk up the squad and replace the Infernus Pistol with a power fist. And give the DCF Blood Talons and a Magna Grapple. The MG gives you two S8 low AP shooting attacks and that can let you crack open a transport to allow the Blood Talons to work their magic on the soft chewy prizes inside. And while I was very skeptical of the Talons at first I've sen them work their magic too many times now not to recommend it 100% of the time.

One flamethrower tank? Maybe. Two of them? Never.:nono: At least one should be Assault Cannon + Heavy Bolter. The flamer version has to expose it's pitiful side and rear AV to the enemy to get a shot. That means you might get one or two shots and then get blasted to pieces. With the Assault Cannon version you can make sure the enemy sees nothing but AV13 and from way too far away for him to get the chance to assault.

I'd also suggest replacing one of the AT weapons on the SR with a dual purpose system. Either keep the Assault Cannons or use the Typhoon missile launcher. Personally I'd do both, but if it's one or the other the Lascannon + TML is very good at killing tanks and pretty good against infantry. The twin MM is great at melting tanks, but almost forces you to close to 12" and that's too damned close IMO. You could of course just add Hurricane Bolter sponsons, but...

You need at least 5 DC marines to have access to the DC Furioso. Sorry I missed that the first time.

The points can be easily found by dropping one of the RAS down to a 5 man. Give that squad's Sergeant a Hand Flamer to make up for some of the lost anti-infantry CC strength. Use the remaining points to boost the DC to 5+ and give the Priest a power weapon.
