01-27-08 Sunday Campaign [500] Seek and Destroy:Omega

Today was the kick off day for my local shops seasonal campaign. My opponent was newbie Eldar player who surprised me with his list because there was no Grav Tanks :shok:

We were on a table with lots of cover in both the middle and 1 long edge. Fortunately I took both the edge with the most cover and the 1st turn.

My whole army deployed on the first turn since I was using an all infantry list
6 Assualt Warriors (the usual breed)
38 Spine Gaunts
and a Zoanthrope

My opponent had infiltrated some striking scorpions a little to close to my brood which was deployed in a conga line down the center of my deployment zone (all in cover) with a small squad of Warriors on his left side and a Zoanthope in some cover to the right.

My Zoanthrope swated some Scorpions and 1 Brood of Gaunts managed to fleet then Assualt into his scorpions. 2 of my 3 Warriors was able to get into base with his Exarch who trashed 1 of them. The horde prooved overwhelming enough to run him through and massacre for some huge distance accross the board.

On his turn he returned fire with some Rangers; killing a Warrior. His Dire Avengers softened up 1 Brood before his turn was over.

I continued my advance into his army hurling spine fists into his rangers causing them to fall back into the woods that bred them.

The rest of my army made a cool advance with the exception of my Zoanthrope who got lost in the cover.

His Shining Spears and Farseer entered play. He skipped my gaunts that were gaining ground on his Dire Avengers in favor of raming my Warriors but fall short by an 1'.

His Farseer fizzled mind war on my Zoanthrope who returned the fizzle with a failed cocentrated Warp Blast.

On my turn I swept through both his spears and Farseer making mince meat of his whole army.

His Dire Avengers held up for another turn at best.

Results: Victorious Slaughter for Tyranids

I was lucky he didn't play the standard Avatar/Gaurdian/Falcon cheese list that was observed on other tables.

02-03-08 Sunday Campaign [500] Take and Hold: Omega

In this game I swapped out 1 squad of Warriors for a Dakka Tyrant. I wanted a unit that could come out from reserve lay down a salvo of fire and hold that objective for me.

My opponent was playing a standard 500 point Necrons list.

There wasn't really much to this game at all. 2 of my gaunts broods lead by 3 Warriors rushed a convient bunker placed near the objective that was already being contested by a squad of Necrons Warriors and a Necron Lord. The Necron Lord blasted 1 of my Tyranid Warriors away while his Necrons Warriors unleashed gauss hell on my gaunt broods.

My gaunts rush into his buker wasn't at all favorbale, but I had enough critters to bog 10 Warriors and a Necron Lord down so they couldn't shoot. My Tyranid Warriors avoided charging into the terrain and instead hid behind the close combat wall of Gaunts and Necrons.

My Zoanthrope was striking the other Necron Warriors with Warpblasts for 2 turns. My opponent kept at range and failed to wound my Zoanthrope. He grew tired and advanced on me so I rushed my last gaunt brood who was behind cover into him and got lucky with a charge that connected. On my same turn my 2 Warriors krept out and lended thier Rending Claws to the Close Combat. I won Close Combat, and the Necrons wiped in the fall back.

My Dakka Tyrant came out by the 3rd turn and marched to the objectibe as I piled on more gaunts into the bunker to keep those Necron Warriors down.

My opponent phased out and I scored full VP + 2 scoring units for a Victorious Slaughter.

02-03-08 Sunday Campaign [1000] Recon: Omega

This game was a challange for me because I was so worried about playing Mech Eldar. Knowing that my MC's were the best response for Skimmers and then having to worry about both Escalation and needing units fast enough to score were a huge pain.

I ended taking

A Flyrant, Dakkafex, Sniper Fex, a Zoe', 4 Warriors, 36 Gaunts, and 14 Gargoyles.

My opponent Larry was running a custom space marines chapter Drop Pod List.

A Chaplain, 3 Squads of Marines, 2 Dreads.

I started by deploying all my units slightly inside 1 piece of circuler forrest. My Gaunts completely outlined the forest brim while my Warriors and Zoanthropes were inside deep enough to avoid fire. The strategy was to designed to protect my synapse and offer me an egress plan if it was needed. I got first turn and decided to send a squad of Gaunts that wasn't needed to protect my Synapse to another piece of terrain that was in his deployment zone. At this time I carelessly moved my Zoanthope forward enough that it could be shot.

The Marines first drop was 1 squad of Marines and a Dread to my right hand side and 1 squad of Marines at my flank. I was surprised he dropped so deep inside my deployment zone. The Marines shooting phase destroyed my Zoanthope and caused the squad of Gaunts it was protecting to go crazy.

On my following turn I got both my Carnifexi and my Garogyles. My reserves passed the flanking Marines and then proceeded to pump them with bio-weapons. They died fast and hard.

A brood of Gaunts broke out of the forest and pinned down his Dread.

In the proceeding Marine players turn he had no LOS with 1 squad. The Chappy and another Marine squad deployed simo close to the middle of the table. It was 2 late for them though. The Marine forces were scattered and the Tyranids were amassing and on the move. I lost some fodder to bolter fire to say the least.

On my turn I got my Flyrant in who promptly devoured his Marines who had just about removed the last Gaunt that held down thier Dread.

My remaining force just bowled over him like nothing.

By the end of the game I had destroyed everything he had and managed to score with half my army.

Good game. It was his first time using a drop pod list and he had learned a great deal about how to deploy them.

02-17-08 Sunday Campaign [1000] Cleanse: Omega

My list:

Winged Hive Tyrant
Warriors x 4
Spinegaunts x 36
Gargoyles x 14
Sniperfex
Dakkafex
Zoanthrope

His List:

Farseer
Avatar
Dire Avengers x 12
Banshees x 5
Jet Bikes x 3
War Walkers x 3
Fire Prism
Wraith Lord

Terrain

My opponent wanted to veto my terrain selection. He stated that 1 of the Large Pieces I selected should not be used or count for 2 pieces. I agreed and we took turns placing terrain until there was 1 Large Forest in the NW corner a Small Mountain in the NE and a small Forest in the SW.

Deployment

I lost the roll and the Eldar took the NW side leaving me with no terrain at all. I guess I did this to myself though :threaten:

He placed his Farseer, Dire Avengers and Banshees into the Large Woods while all of my Spinegaunts bordered the edge of my deployment zone. 4 Warriors and my Zoanthrope close beside.

Turn 1

I sent 1 squad of gaunts to the mountains with an Zoanthrope escrot. The Dire Avengers were out just enough that I could hit them with a Warp Blast and kill to models. My Remaining horde pushed into the Eldar deployment zone knowing what awaits them in the following shoot phase.

The Eldar released a Guide/Blade Storm on my Warriors I was shocked to see that they only succeeded in killing 1 and wounding another. The Banshees postured while the Farseer unleashed an Eldricth Storm on my Gaunts advancing to the mountains. Less then half a dozen took wounds and died.

Turn 2

My Sniperfex and Winged Hive Tyrant entered play this turn. My Sniper Fex marched forward from the S deployment while the Winged Hive Tyrant flew in from the SE and made its way to the mountain range for hiding. My Zoanthrope missed a Warpblas. My gaunts split into 2 forces, 1 assualting the Farseer, another assualting the avengers. The assualt was majority in my favor despite that I only got 1 Warrior into base with an avenger.

The Eldar brought in his Avatar, War Walkers, and the Prism. The Prism and Avatar arrived far from combat and held the Eldar flank for the turn while the War Walkers entered in from the SW most part of his deployment zone. The War Walkers were able to wound my Carnifex twice.

Turn 3

On my turn I got the rest of my reserves to enter play. My Gargoyles flew in and immidiately got behind the forest in the SW quarter. At this point my plan was to try and clain as many table quarters as possible and avoid heavy losses. The Sniperfex blasted the Warwalkers and caused 2 of them to go down. My remaining swam was able to mop off botht he Dire Avengers and Banshees but I was unable to consolidate far enough to get into combat with the Farseer who was holding off a few gaunts.

At this point all other Eldar reserves entered play. The Avatar was able to assualt my last 2 Warriors who were just barely in its assualt reach. His Jet Bikes for some odd reason or another flew past all of the combat and landed in front of the Forest where my Gargoyles were.

The Eldar sent the Prism after my Winged Hive Tyrant and gaunts who took up hiding in the mountains. Fortunately it was only armed with a Prism Cannon and missed the mass of hiding gaunts.

The Wraith Lord shot down my Sniperfex :(

Turn 4

On my turn I lost both my gaunts and warriors squads who were contesting the Avatar and Farseer. I only got 1 wound on the Farseer the whole 3 turns and was starting to fear that I wouldn't hold the Eldar down for much longer.

My Gargoyles flew over the Forest and slaughtered the 3 lone bikers with thier Fleshborers. My Dakkafex was able to get into range of the Fire Prism and drop a hell load of 6's on its front side. The resulting vehicle damaged destroyed the Prism Cannon ;).

So I was still holding 2 objectives at this point and had my MC's fairly hidden.

The Eldar really shocked me at this point because a single War Walker assualted my Gargoyles dealt a wound forcing my Gargoyles to fail leader ship and get massacred. It was unbelievable but I had to accept it. Then without any warning the Wraith Lord marches through the terrain and gets an angle on my Dakkafex and guide/starcannon/misslelauncher it to no longer act as scoring.

Turn 5

At this point I was so frustrated by the outstanding dice rolls that I carelessly moved my Hive Tyrant to the edge south edge of the mountains. I was hoping to prevent a victorious slaughter.

Didn't matter the blasted Wraithlord was somehow able to manuever into shooting range of my Winged Hive Tyrant and still hit its slightly revealed base ;( 3 wounds later my jaw dropped. The Farseer came in and stormed my gaunts who were still hiding causing enough to die that I had no scoring units left on any table quarter.

Conclusion

Eldar took home a Crushing Victory. If he had gotten his Prism into my any deployment zone other then his it would've been an easy Victorious Slaughter, but I guess he was thinking so much about how much he wanted to win by.

At this point there was a 3 way tie for the 1st place position.

Myself playing Tyranids
Armondo playing Eldar (todays opponent)
and a Tau player that I'm likely to go against next week.

Tau Commander

Crisis Suits x 2
Fire Warriors x 10
Fire Warriors x 12
Fire Warriors x 12
Kroot x 20
Stealth Suits x 5???
Hammer Head
Hammer Head
Broadside x 2

Terrain

6x4 Table 5 Loot Counters

I placed terrain a large forest in the SW a medium forest in the S and mountains in the SE
my opponent placed small ruins in the NW small ruins in the N and small forest in the NE. Terrain mostly surrounded the table with the exception of the N most forest which was large and towards the center. I didn't want to get screwed on both terrain and loot counters so I made sure 3 of the 5 counters were in the small terrain. Of course Tau gets the terrain and forces me ino the small ruins lol.

Deployment

He deployed Fire Warriors in the NW N and NE sections and placed his Kroot in the large ass forest. I was kinda scared so I deployed all of my gaunts warriors and zoanthropes in a tight package in the SE.

Turn 1

I win the turn and decide to start rushing my gaunts in a conga line along the E most table edge, using the Forest ahead to block as much LOS as possible. My Zoanthropes dropped Warpblasts on his Kroot and dealt a few kills. Bloody Kroot and the 4+ cover save.

The Tau began moving all of his Fire Warriors to the Center Forest. My Zoanthropes deflected some Kroot Rifle round and a lost a few gaunts on my tail end to Fire Warriors who were in 30 inch range.

Turn 2

I got both my Sniper Fex and 1 squad of Gargoyles. My Sniper Fex tested leader ship and passed! Thank God! Both of them stomped into the ruins just south of the Kroot and took a loot counter. I was able to land a Barbed Strangler shot but the Kroot were very resistant in the woods and lost only 4 models to the combined fire. Some support from a single Zoanthrope I left in the open put the Kroot below half strength.

2/3 of my gaunts hide behind the woods while 1 squad stayed inside those ruins that they deployed in which is where a counter was. My Warriors were spaced out far enough to give all 3 squads of gaunts Synapse.

My Gargoyles came in and hid behind the SE forest. They were heading to the mountains.

The Tau failed his rolls miserably. He got his Stealth suits and Broadsides. The Boardsides took down a Warrior and a couple more gaunts who were almost entirely behind the forest by this point.

The Fire Warriors, Stealth Suits, and Kroot unleashed massive firepower on 1 of the Carnifexi hiding in the ruins. It was like 50 :shok: something shots of which only 3 successful wounds inflicted.

Turn 3

In turn 3 I got my Winged Tyrant,Dakka Tyrant, and Dakka Fex. My Winged Hive Tyrant flew behind my Gargoyles as both units were rounding the outskirts of the mountains. The Dakkafex deployed into the small SW forest and had no range at this time but was close to a loot counter. The Dakka Tyrant came in and shot down 4 stealth suits causing the last suit to panic and retreat.

I pushed my Sniperfexi forward onto the edge of the ruins so I could start shooting Fire Warriors who werent the forest. I missed terribly with both Stranglers and landed a couple Venom Cannon rounds.

My Flanking gaunts positioned themselves into the forest so that they could score a counter and lash out if they needed to.

The Tau got a Commander, 2 Crisis Suits, and a Hammer Head. The Commander Deep Striked a little to close to my Hive Tyrant and dropped plasma and missles on it for some wounds. The Hammer Head had enough fire power in it to finish off the Hive Tyrant in just 1 shooting phase.

The Crisis Suits dropped plasma and missle on my non wounded carnifex but didn't land anything due to the excellent 4+ cover saves.

My Zoanthrope that was contesting the Kroot was shot down by the Broadsides who got a high movement roll and scooted right into firing range.

Turn 4

On my 4th turn I got my last Gargoyle squad and deep striked it into the forest area closest to my gaunt swarm. It was a scary deep strike because I was about an inche away from the table edge and I definately would've lost some models.

A small swarm of gaunts rushed forward and bogged down his commander.

My Dakkafex moved out of the small forest and still had no range on anything  My Sniperfex missed alot of shots but glanced the Hammer Head and destroyed the rail gun and disabled its shooting for a turn :eek:k:

I took a chance and to get my Hive Tyrant into close combat and flew it through the Dangerous Mountains. It lived and it was a stupid risk because I was like and inch and a half away from close combat with some Fire Warriors. My Gargoyles fleeted around the bend and assualted which is what I needed. To get some nids into close combat safely.
The Fire Warriors lost combat and I massacred. I didn't have enough distance to get into combat with the next squad so I took a retreat backwards and lost a couple Gargoyles to dangerous terrain tests.

The Tau rolled a frikin 1 on his last Hammer Head and he just said WTF man. Oh well...

The Broadsides dropped missles on my other Zoanthrope who had been creeping along the bend to shoot the Tau flank. Some Fire Warriors stepped forward and helped mop it off the map. The Crisis suits ranged my Dakkafex and nailed it twice.

Turn 5

At this point I was excited because I had the Tau flanked from both sides and was still unloading bio-weapon death onto them from the frontside. The Dakkafex shot down a Crisis Suit while my Sniperfex continue to shoot at the Hammerhead. I scored a few hits 2 glancing which left the Hammerhead unable to move or shoot for a turn.

My Gargoyles and Winged Hive Tyrant flew into close combat with the Fire Warrior Honor Gaurd who was inside the forest with some Kroot and a Crisis Suit. The Honorgaurd took down 4 Gargoyles and my Bone Sword kicked in and the attack backs were equally deadly to the Tau. At the end of my combat phase I had 2 Gargoyles and my Hive Tyrant.

My remaining Gargoyles got into shooting range of the Fire Warriors and took a last ditch effort to reduce them to half strength before those Broadsides shoot into the swarm.

The Tau had very few options. The final hammer head came in and immidiately flew to the forest that the main swarm was hiding behind to contest it for an objectibe. It struck my Dakkafex with that had 2 wounds left and rolled a 1. At this point the Tau felt no hope.

The Broadsides and Fire Warriors had enough range on my Gargoyles to shoot down nearly all of them.

My Hive Tyrant killed his Ethereal in the assualt phase and forced the Crisis suit to fall back.

Turn 6

This started to get extreme because I had him crushed and was getting another phase to up my score. I shot the closest Hammerhead first and destroyed it finally. The second Sniperfex missed all of its shots against the Hammerhead contesting my swarm. A Brood of Spinegaunts hurled Spines from the woods to soften up the Fire Warriors closest to my surviving Gargoyles. The Gargoyles also shot and then assualted. I felt so bad for the Tau, its like they really suck balls in close comabt. Another Massacre result.

The Winged Hive Tyrant assualted the Broadsides and destroyed a pod and a Broadside.

My gaunts also fished off his Commander this turn.

The Hammerhead brought the Dakkafex down to a wound which made it lose the objective that it was close to.

Turn 7

I checked for morale on my Sniperfex with 5 wounds left out of the ruins and got it within 6 inches of the objective that my Dakka lost.

On his last turn he used the Hammer Head to try and reduce the Sniperfex with 3 wounds down enough to keep it from scoring but it made its save. Those Sniperfexi were my MVPS by far. They soaked up some much firepower in those ruins and got back all of thier points in the shooting phase.

Conclusion

A long game that involved alot of posturing for position. I lucked out that the Tau got the Hammer Head on Turn 3 and then 5 or I may not have won by so much. Great match but my opponent was sore with me because he feels that Tyranids against Tau are an auto win :shrugs:

I claimed like 1890 points and he took roughly 450 or so. Another Victorious Slaughter. I found out Armondo lost his game so that placed me in the lead position by 4 points and only 3 games left of the season.

Thanks alot for the comments. I felt like crap seeing 100 views and no replys in 4 weeks lol. I thought it would be fun to do the battle reports for the Campaigns I play in so I figured I would go with it all the way regardless of how it all turns out.

Its hard to predict at this point who my next opponent will be because I didn't see the results board. I'm thinking I may square off against a Genestealers swarm because I havent played Tyranids yet and there's 2 other players playing Tyranids.

Orcs would be my second bet seeing that there's 2 other Orc players.

I will try and take photographs of the games that I'm playing next Sunday. I definately feel the need to put more effort into this project knowing that someone is enjoying it :)

Honestly the 2 largest threats are already behind me. One of our Orc players is hella good but he has missed the first 2 games due to vacation and is probably scored to low to play against me.

I know that the final game is going to be a team Apacolypse game and that could cause problems seeing as I will have to depend on others.

I am confident but not assured.

03-02-08 Sunday Campaign [1,500] Traitor: Omega

Disclaimer

I gamed late this sunday. I had alot to due after the game and was hung over from the night before so details are a blur.

So what is Traitor Omega? I dont know where the rules came from exactly but the idea behind the game was that my opponent and I swapped 1 elite model and that model was then dubbed the Traitor. The Traitor was worth 150 VP if killed during the game.

I gave the Orcs a Tyranid Warrior (OMG Orcs with synapse) and I got a tank busta Orc.

Random Game Length after Turn 4.

The Deployment was wierd. I remember we had to measure 18 inches along the table borders from the table edges. We had to deploy inside the measured space in a trianguler deployment zone that spanned 2 table quarters. There was a rectangle shaped dead zone seperating both of us.

My List

My Opponents List (First game against Orcs using the new Codex)

Big Mek (Ordanance Zap Gun??)

10 Lootas

45 Shoota Boyz

5 Burna Boyz

8 Tank Busta Boyz

1 Burna Truck

1 Missle Truck

1 Large Orc Cannon lol???

2 Huge Wagons?

some nobbs...

Terrain

6 x 4

1 Large Forest in the SW, 1 Small Runes in SE, 1 Small Runes in the E, 1 Medium Forest in the NE, 1 Small Forest in the N, 1 Medium Forest in Central W.

Deployment

I deployed my Horde just deep enough into the forst so that I couldn't get hit by Lootas if I lost first turn. My Zoanthropes took more to the forest edge and were within 24 inches of 2 Shoot Boyz units in the W Forest. The Orcs deployed the shootas to the N forest with some Boyz close by.

Turn 1

I took first turn and opted to fry a shoota Boyz squad with 2 Warp Blasts. Both hit and flayed a total of 5 Orcs. My Traitor Warrior was just behind the group. The rest of my army began to pivot around the large forest that they hid inside of. Snaking around the South table edge gunning Westward. The Orc Tank Busta hide inside the mass of gaunts.

The Orcs Lootas returned fire with 30 shots at a Zoanthrope. My Zoanthrope suffered a single wound. Some Shoota Boyz got in range and dealt 1 wound to my Zoanthrope and he failed his S on a 1 :(

Turn 2

I rolled for both Sniperfexi and got them both. I deployed them with a Dakka Tyrant in the middle of them both and a Dakkafex on the right handside. My 4 MC's came in on the Central North side of the table. I scored a Flyrant and 12 Gargoyles to flank from behind the NE forest.

Only 1 of the Sniperfexi scored a Barbed Strangler hit on the same Orcs that my Zoanthropes were contesting. Enough Orcs went down to force LD checks of which the Orcs succeeded. My Flyrant got into base with 1 Boy that was a little to far off from his squad that was deployed beside the Lootas. I killed it and piled in.

The Orcs got intimidating this turn after a War Wagon carrying more shootas and some burnas came in behind the forest where my Gargoyles hid. They had enough templates in range to burn down half my squad.

Some huge ass Battle Cannon came into and zerged my army. The Orcs fumbled the controls or something. I was happy :)

A Flame truck came in and headed to my Gaunts swarm but didn't get close enough to pose a threat.

The Boss Orc dropped a crazy ordanance blast marker aimed on my Dakka Tyrant. It was 2d6 Str 3 Ap or something. The scatter roll took it away from my Tyrant enough to knick it without hitting my Carnifexi.

The Shootas rushed forward and the Lootas dropped shells on my Dakka Tyrant for a clean wipe off the table.

Not a problem my MVps were still on Board.

The Orcs crumbled to my Winged Tyrant and I massacred with enough distance to assualt the lootas next turn.

Turn 3

Gargoyles flew into the the deployment zone with the rest of my Horde. I decided to keep them for counter assualt then expose them.

My Dakkafex escorted a Sniperfex to the War Wagon. I dropped shells into it and destroyed it killing several orcs and entangling the rest. The Dakkafex couldn't get LOS on the Burnas who ducked out but was gaining ground on them as it stomped through the woods.

The other fex missed its strangler on the advancing Shootas, Traitor Warrior, and Nob?? (Bigger Orc) At this point I did something stupid and fleeted my 6 Gargoyles into the mob or Orcs and got 4 in base with the Traitor Warrior. I nailed the Warrior and 1 Orc but lost my Gargs in the exchange.

The Flyrant charged in and took a wound from the Big Orc who had like 3 attacks after the lash whips. :shok: The Flyrant assualted the Huge Orc with the Zap Gun, killed it, and piled into the Lootas of which began to panic.

Basicly 150 VP for 150 Vp

My Warriors were able to assualt on the flanks and rear of that Flame Truck, I didn't think I would nail it, but figured I could distract the Flamer for a turn.

The Orcs didnt buy the bait though, they pushed the flamer into the first wave of gaunts and nearly cooked the unit of 10. He was after my squishies and that damned Tank Busta that was now running for its life.

The Large Battle Cannon rolled another 1 and continued to zerg my Carnifex. It was quite amusing to see this Battle Cannon charge my nids.

The Orcs brought in the War Wagon and a Missle Truck. The Missle didn't go anywhere. Orcs shooting was pathetic, even with twinlink. The War Wagon death rolled onto my Warriors who took a singled wound and were force out of the way.

At this point I dont remember what the Tank Bustas did, but I wasnt worried about the Wagon. I had a Zoanthrope lurking nearby and 1 Sniperfex in range with a Venom Cannon.

Turn 4

The Sniperfex that shot down the first Wagon turned took out that lousy charging Orc Battle Cannon before it could self destruct into my Carnifex. My other fex blew up the new War Wagon after my Zoanthope failed a Warp Blast. Several Orcs lived, but they were entangled :so_happy:

:eek:k: The Orc player questioned me about the Venom Cannon only glancing vehicles so I referred him to the Tyranid Codex and explained that it can penetrate open topped vehicles which he told me his Wagons were. He seemed frustrated at this point but hey its a game.

The Dakkafex shot into the 5 Burnas who would no longer be entangled on his turn, and then assualted. Unbelievably I killed 4 Burnas in my shooting phase but could land any hits in the assualt.

The Winged Hive Tyrant cut off some heads of the lowly Orcs and continued its rampage on contested.

The rest of my gaunts, and garogyles took off running back around the forest hiding from the Flamer. This is when I did something really dumb. I for some god awful reason tried to run my puny wagggh! Orc into the forst to hide instead of wrapping around the forest.

The Orcs who were still high in numbers began the turn with a glorious bush wack to my Orc Traitor nailing it for a solid kill.

The Shootas assualted 1 of my Carnifexi and tied with it. The other shootas nailed the shit out of my Winged Tyrant with a Power Klaw. I managed to kill off enough lootas before she dropped.

The Dakkafex missed again, failing to kill the last burna.

Turn 5

No turn 5 the game ended on 4 with both Traitors dead and hordes of Orcs interlocked with hordes of nids.

The VP were surprising. I recieved a Solid Victory.

I was restricted for a month from the Forums and wasn't able to post the final game. I dont remember enough details to post a good battle report but here goes something.

I played against the Marines and the special rules for the game had us wage war in a volcanic region. At the end of every second players turn there was a chance that units in the dangerous areas could be pinned or even killed.

Our game wasn't the bad because the danger zones were all piled on top of each other in the center board. Some other players had it bad though lol.

I recall his termies shooting down 14 gargoyles before my second flight of gargs came in and wiped them out by sheer luck.

My 3 Lictors actually tied up a 10 man Dev squad inside a size 3 building and eventually killed them all.

It was a close game until my last turn of which I managed to clear 3 table corners and lead the victory.

No one was close enough to contest me for the 1st spot so the campaign ended early.

I took home the large Eldar battle chest and 2 Fire Prisms as my reward for best general. A Tyranids players took home prize for the best painted, and the Orcs players I squared off against took home best sportsman. Some blisters were given away to random players based on how many loot counters they scored in secure and control.

Next season we play warhammer Fantasy and I plan to bring Skaven Clan Eshin while I prepare my Eldar for the next 40k league.
