You could always drop those upgrades in favor of some gretchin instead of another meganob. It might actually give you a chance at taking an objective or two if you've got some tiny gretchin squads running around on the field. Kind of breaks the theme of an elite unit Ork Army, but hey, gretchin are slaves anyhow.
