Looking to edit this list somewhat, going to be playing vs Blood Angels (tank heavy) and Space Wolves,

Thinking about adding more ranged goodness, just not sure where to shave the points.

I own everything except the Rhinos, and would perfer not to buy them yet if anyone has any better suggestions.

You might wanna drop A daemon Prince, and the Obliterators, and get 2 defilers? X]

You seem to like the Khorne Theme, and that would certainly add to it.

If not, i still think 2 HQ's is abit much at 1,000points. And Daemon Princes are better without MoK, so they can take a Psychic Power, Warptime being a brilliant one.

Drop the Zerks to a squad of 8 will help as well, give you 42 points to play with; For example you could give both Rhinos Extra Armour, a brilliant upgrade.

Love the Blood God!!!

Also excited about a populated forum!

Defilers maybe an in the future upgrade, trying to limit the purchasing, (hence the wish to drop the Rhinos).

Trying to add some range/anti tank to help stop the Blood Angels onslaught (presently he's running a Baal, a Land Raider and a Rhino. Lot's of armor for 1K games, his squads (death company and assault marines) are basically an afterthought.

Buying Rhinos sucks, but they are invaluable these days. Most would say they are mandatory. Your opponent does seem to have an inordinate amount of armoy for a 1000 point game, and a single unit of Obliterators might not do the job. Also, your points totals seem to be off for your troops. Do you have any bitz and some spare marines/terminators, or anything of that sort? Depending on what you have, you may be able to make yourself two custom Obliterator models, which would let you run this:

If you look at my Khorne Compendium, theres about 4 Khorne Themed 1,000 point lists, 1 Regular, and 3 Themed, might be worth having a look?

I really think 2 HQ choices is too much at 1,000 points; how about this:

Crazy number of lists ROT, you scheme like a Tzeetchian... maybe time to put that gold collar on.

Alright I concede, two HQ's are abit much, was hoping to carve into thier armor, but range is better.

I'll trade the one 155 point DP for another 2 man Obilterator Squad, come out 5 points to the good, maybe sink that into meltabombs for the other champion.

To Lash/Svart, ok, will consider reducing unit counts for extra Rhino and armors... or is a land raider viable? I see the crazyness his is on the field, and points to pull from meltabombs (10), 2 Bezerkers per squad (total 84) and the second unit of Obilterators.

Thank you all for suggestions, again, nice to be on a "live" forum.

To confirm, running my DP behind my Rhino would count as in cover?

2nd list looks fine! And It depends on the LoS, generally you can get him in cover, if not Unseen :]

Thanks, my Blood Angel buddy uses his, but at the cost of having a dozen or so troops split into two unimpressive squads. I'll stick to my Rhinos for now.

Missed your reply there ROT, don't get your power armor in a knot. I was just implying that your 30 odd lists showed a fair bit of forethought and planning, hardly an indication of loyality to the Blood God.

Ahh, but by that logic Tzeentch players would get so entangled in cunning strategic plotting that they never get past Turn One; Slaanesh players would be so drunk they couldn't remember what they'd brought to the table or how to use any of it, and Nurgle players would be too ill to make it to the game in the first place :biggrin:

man 1k games are hard for me to build list for. its just hard becasue i only play 2500 point games. all though 1500 point games i can coach up. 3 vindicators 2 daemon princes with lash thats the only thing i can suggest

Land Raiders are overkill in 1000 points but he started it. A warptime Prince is better than the Mark of Khorne Prince I listed but he's still a huge threat.

Two HQs aren't too much at this level if your using Daemon Princes. Using one means you need to keep him in cover and use when opportunity presents itself, otherwise it'll die to easily.

In addition Khorne princes aren't a bad choice if your starting out, because Warptime's nice, but you have to remember to use it correctly.

In addition they're nice and cheap which is always useful. Here's what I'd take.

Khorne DP with wings - 140 points.

Khorne DP with wings - 140 points.

8 Khorne Berserkers, Skull Champion with Powerfist, Rhino - 243 points.

8 Khorne Berserkers, Skull Champion with Powerfist, Rhino - 243 points.

3 Obliterators - 225 points.

Press forward with the DPs, allowing your Rhinos to move unhindered and deep strike with the oblits.
