i like the over all look of this - lots of space marines. i would go combi-melta for all combi-weapons on your list. i would also lose the PFs on the tact sergents, these squads are going to be shooting their little hearts out and while the PF can mangle mech well and prevent an enemy from coming out you you're out 50 pts there.
i would go sternguard. your list needs a third drop pod so you can drop both tactical squads at the start of your first turn. sternguard are shooty masterminds, lose the PF here for certain. i go combimelta on all my sternguard - special issue ammo and then one shooting phase of 6x meltashots!!
i have a list i'm doing that's similar but uses vulkan. i realized how melta crazy i have been to counter mech and vulkan gets me such tasty bonuses while being hella unkillable.
maybe ls to drop with your pods and assault marines? or drop pod dreads? vindicator or LR? i would go with some decent vehicles at 1850.
putting deathwinds in drop pods are cool but a drop pod blows up easier than a rhino, so i haven't ever gone this route. but i saw a drop pod/cato list that had 6 drop pods and the 3 he drops in turn 1 are all deathwind launchers - 2 x dread, 1 x tacticals/sternguard + librarian. looks like it worked well for him, mostly that his opponent never did what he intended. he spent 3 turns re-acting to the drop force while cato and company moved up with two squads of bikes and fresh drop pod teams dropping the whole game. it was sexy.
