Your title says tourney list.

Ik have two questions for you.

1) Are you sure you can use 'allies' in the tournaments you're thinking of? The last year I haven't seen any tournaments that allow it anymore. There was too much 'inquisitor with retinue' abuse, so they just banned all allies. That goes for all GW endorsed tournaments over here.

2) You need to buy the chimeras with your IG units as dedicted transports. Transporting GK units in chimeras really really puts a big bulls eye on them. People will know that stopping the chimeras is essential. After the chimeras are stopped they go after the other vehicles.

[If you take the DH unit for fluff/fun that's fine. Personally I think taking DH/GK units just weakens a IG list. You spent some 600pts on those units that could have gone into more tanks/artillery/vendettas/veterans.]

I play pure GK and they will indeed weaken this list..Gk just don't cut it, especially at Tournament level, and IG just don't need to use them as a crutch anyway.

That said, it's your list and seen as you have them in your list I will assume you know if the Tourney allows them or not.

GK arent the greatest ideas for a tourney, because opponents are packing plasmas and such to deal with SM in general, and the GK just just as bad.
Vets with Melta/plasma in chimera's is your best bet as a replacement for these. the PCS and CCS are spot on and the valk fits.

Thanks for the comments. The tournament does indeed allow the allies rules from the Codex to be used.

Originally it was a Grey Knight force then I decided to use IG with the GK units, but am tempted to just go for a Daemonhunters army. Just for the sake of having one last huzzah with them as they stand.

Imperial Protector - It does indeed open me to mockery and loss, however this is the third time I will have played in this tournament and the third time I would be using my GKs. First time I was placed around the 20th mark out of about 30 and the second time I was a resounding last.
