I’ve been playing around with a 1750pt IG army for a local tournament and I wanted some feedback.

List
HQ:
CCS; 4x Plasma Guns, Astropath, Chimera (HF/ML)
Troops:
Vet Squad; 3x Plasma Guns, Chimera (HF/ML)
Vet Squad; 3x Plasma Guns, Chimera (HF/ML)
Vet Squad; 3x Plasma Guns, Chimera (HF/ML)
Vet Squad; 3x Melta Guns (Putting them in a Vendetta)
Vet Squad; 3x Melta Guns (Putting them in a Vendetta)
Fast Attack:
Vendetta
Vendetta
Vendetta
Heavy Support:
Leman Russ Battle Tank
Leman Russ Battle Tank
Leman Russ Vanquisher

As you can see I really like plasma guns and they've had a moderate amount of success in the past. My main concern is the empty vendetta and if I should take something else or buff my vets with some demo packs. Any feedback would be appreciated.

Swop the plasma for flamers, use the chimera's to get you close jump out and hit your opponent with 13 of them, i've taken down terminator squads with a few flamers due to pure number of saves they've had to make. The points saved will allow you to give atleast one vet unit demolitions

Turn the Russ into Exterminators, heavy 4 twin-linked assault cannons will make a difference and won't force all the other weapons on the tank to snap fire, thus increasing your firepower and having no chance of hitting your own models

I also recommend putting Marbo in, his special rules allow you to place him where he will cause the most damage

Do have any idea what most players like to play/run in your tournaments. I agree that the plasma's may be a bit risky with the gets hot rule. However, lots of fun, very mobile with some good ranged weapons. Could you put your command squad in the last vendetta?

Drop the vanquisher, that many points for something that'll only A. hit 50% of the time and then B. only have a 33% one-shot-one-kill rate isn't all that worth it. Stick with the LRBT; a pie plate will leave a bigger dent in enemies than the autocannons with a higher strength, ordinance, and AP, esp now since blasts always hit full strength against vehicles.

With an aggressive army you do not want templates that scatter, especially large ordinance ones that can damages your army as easily or easier than your opponents. There are very few vehicles that a twinlinked heavy 4 autocannon will not do better than a battlecannon with the added benefit of not hitting your own troops with a bad scatter.
