this list is for fun but i would plan to use it in tournaments, any thoughts would be welcome

I'd probably spruce up that Lord with a lightning claw instead of a power sword (possibly a power fist too, for fisticlaw joy of 2 specialist weapons plus an AP2 option), and a sigil of corruption instead of an AoDG. The Burning Brand wouldn't be amiss on him, instead of one of those melee weapons, to boot... especially with my ideas for the Noise Marines, whom I assume he's sharing the second land raider with.

Even in a Slaaneshi army, I don't think you need the MoS on standard CSM squads, unless you're making it worthwhile with an IoE or something.

Not too clear what this squad is supposed to be doing. The heavy bolter implies long range, but the plasma pistol and CCWs the opposite--I'd go with bolters and a plasmagun instead, or 2 meltaguns with the CCWs.

I probably wouldn't spend points on upgrades on the cultists, since they're meant to hide on a home objective and will die to just about anything already.

Like I said, I assume the Noise Marines are sharing the land raider with the Lord. Since they have to disembark for salvo fewer-shots-while-moving, and you don't have a Biomancy Sorc aiming to roll up Endurance or something, I'd consider swapping those sonic blasters for a doom siren on the champion and extra CCWs on the rest--with the Lord having the BBoS that's 2 AP3 flamers in the squad, plus quite a bit of melee pain on the assault when coming out of the Land Raider. I'd also grab an Icon of Excess on them.

Hmm, not seeing a lot of ways to get through 2+ armor in your enemies: a plasma pistol and 2 Land Raider's worth of lascannons will struggle to take down Termis or a Riptide--though I guess the Maulerfiends will help pitch in. Still, Wraithknights and Imperial Knights also pose a pretty big threat. How do you intend to challenge those, apart from tarpitting with lasher-Fiends?

I would guess that Land Raiders are really not very competitive in today's meta of D-weapon Eldar everywhere, Skitarii raining from the sky in Flesh Tearer drop pods with bucketloads of Haywire shots, and invisible Tigurius-led grav Centurions... but good luck to you in your tournament playing!

hi mossy toes

thats great advice and i have changed some basics with the list to hopfuly make the units work better, the hq, termies, half the CSM unit and maulfiend are finished so not a great chance of them changing and i like the land raiders for their ability to charge out of, though iv only got the termies one at the moment (due to be painted soon)

im tossing up between defilor obliterators or havocs so some word back on them would be good

honestly i feel your list is going to have hard times: altough landy can be useful and i support your choice, the assault teams inside them are nothing to be worried about. you are wasting 460 pts to deliver in melee some mild hitters...
I'd reconsider using min sized noise marines units with blastmaster as troop choices and filling the landraiders with chosens w/vengeance icon and an hidden powerfist, morphing terminators to a suicide melta squad, but i get the dedicated transport issue, so...
Defiler, maulerfiend they both complement very well your assaulty list.
Also, i don't know where to shave off the points, but 2 units o 3 spawns could be worthy to add some punch and grab objectives.

so i went back to the drawing board a bit and came up with the following list after taking on board so good pointers. i do like the daemon engines and wont to sort of lean to words them where possible, ive also tried to make to troops more distinct in their roles, but with the crew i play with, i need ccw as i play bloods (elite and very heavy hitting) and a razor back heavy salamanders, tau and ravengard.
