Hello, I'm trying to update my lash/oblits list for 5th edition, and this is what I came up with for a 1750 point army.

1720
HQ
Daemon Prince – MoS + Wings + LoS
155

Daemon Prince – MoS + Wings + LoS
155

Troops
7 Plague Marines – Champion + PF
2x Meltagun
Rhino
256

7 Plague Marines – Champion + PF
2x Meltagun
Rhino
256

8 Khorne Berzerkers – Champion + PF
208

Heavy Support
Landraider + DP (For the Berzerkers)

240

3x Obliterator
225

3x Obliterator
225

The list is fairly standard, LoS + Oblits = dead units. That being said, I can't figure out what to spend the last 30 points on. I could give EA to both rhinos, but this seems like a waste considering they're carrying PM. My first instinct is to give both PM squads a Multi-Flamer, but this only eats up some of the points. Bolters for the rhinos are a decent option, as are dozer blades, but for the life of me I can't figure out how to use the last 30 points.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, as well as any C&C on the list if you feel it could use some work. Thank you in advance,

Dave

P.S. Some points values may be slightly off, as I don't have my codex with me.

I really think you only need one lash. Reason why is because I think you should be concerned about compleletly anhilating the shit out of one unit at a time. Plus I think that you should get two extra armor upgrades for you rhinos. Its a must have for the current addition.

I like using land raiders, but its one of those things you might want to think about. Most people will say that if your only getting the landraider so that your sure the assault that its not worth it. I tend to somewhat agree. Though it isn't the same, using a rhino for your bezerkers isn't bad either. That way you have the points to use on maybe that second lash and a vindicator so that you get complete pwnage with two lashes and good concentrated fire on two targets. Hope this helps, and good luck

Thank you for your response; the feedback is greatly appreciated. Vindicators are definitely something I need to think about, though I would likely either go with 2 or 3 (replacing one or both obliterator squads, along with the landraider) as I am all too familiar with what happens to solo tanks.

The main reason I take the landraider is (besides having decent firepower and being an assault vehicle) is that it serves as a perfect distraction. People tend to focus all of their turn 1 heavy firepower on the landraider, leaving my daemon princes and blast templates (the true core of the army) alone. Alternatively, if they ignore the landraider, the berzerkers slam into whatever unit they want.

For a related reason I usually take two lash princes. Everyone loves to kill them, so I like having a spare.

My original reasoning on using the obliterators over the vindicators was that the obliterators can start shooting things on turn one as, without them, this list does not have much long ranged fire support.
