Hi everyone, new here and to war gaming itself. I'm looking to start a Grey Knights army but with little experience and knowledge, especially of the 7th edition rules I'm unsure on how to begin constructing my army list.

I would like a competitive list but also fun to play at the same time ( if this is possible ) I'm a big fan of the Grey Knight Terminator models and the overall fluff for the Grey Knights. This was the main driving force that led me to choose this army.

One of many lists i've constructed. What do you guys think? Feedback is most welcome!

HQ:

x1 Librarian with Domina Liber Daemonica, Storm-Bolter. (attached to paladin squad 1)

x1 Librarian with The Soul Glaive, Storm-Bolter (attached to paladin squad 2)


Troops:

x5 Terminators with x4 Falchons, x1 Daemon Hammer and x1 Heavy Weapon choice.


Elites

x5 Paladins with x4 Falchons, x1 Daemon Hammer and x1 Heavy Weapon choice.

x5 Paladins with x4 Falchons, x1 Daemon Hammer and x1 Heavy Weapon choice.


x2 Dreadknights - Not sure on which extra war gear to take with these guys? What is competitive, bearing in mind my points to this point so far.


My aim was more on close combat fighting with the Terminators and Paladins while the Librarians providing support with psychic powers and the dread-knights providing fire power and another threat for the opponent to deal with. Although I do feel the lack of models being fielded with this list, however that is to be expected with Grey Knights I would presume?

Honestly, I'd recommend knocking the Paladins down to Terminators. Yes, you get a better WS and an extra wound, but GK Termiantors are so cheap and so good for their cost that it makes Paladins very expensive. You're not even taking advantage of the fact that Paladins can take 2 heavy weapons in the squads.

By downgrading the two squads of Paladins to Terminators, you literally have enough points for ANOTHER 5 man squad of Terminators with the exact same kit.

As for the dreadknights, personally I go for Psycannon, Teleporter, and greatsword, but if you need the points the hammer will work.
