A fun witch hunters army designed to pack a punch in cc with a hospital theme. Is this likely to be in any way competitive as well as fun?

Exorcists are the obvious thing I'm not using but I figure I want to charge everything forward anyway and these could just get left behind or struggle for LOS.

I think you need an inquisitor to have the assassin.

You don't have all that many faith points. Saint Celestine needs quite a lot to keep her going I think.

It might be worthwhile having something in your army with a gun of some kind in case your opponent fields a vehicle. Exorcists are the obvious thing.

I think sisters could work as a horde army. Could you take Celestine, some exorcists and 70-80 sisters? Much rapid fire bolter death. I think that would be cool.

You want a few meltas in there for tackling tanks, and faith as thats the thing that makes your army so different to everyone elses.

in my experience meltaguns are next to useless unless on fast/deepstriking troops. I could bung some on the rhino squad I guess.

Don't really want a horde witchhunters army as
a) It's not much fun
b) marines are probably just better at it.

I don't think I need an inquisitor for assassin and even if I do, I think I can just take it as an ally from the daemonhunter codex.

Faith points are not too much of an issue as I don't have alot of actual sisters and celestine zaps them all when she gets toasted for the first time anyway.

Basically all my stuff chugs forward behind the penitent engines/rhinos and hopes to get one or moreof the big hitting units (flagellants, repentia, seraphim with celestine) into combat creating havoc. Pretty much everything moves 6+d6 and callidus helps with this too by moving stuff nearer. Repentia sisters probably silly and should be replaced by by more arco wotsits but hey, its alot of chainfists rerolling misses and that sounds fun :)

Agree that the melta guns aren't too brilliant, though giving some to the seraphim may work. You can do fun things by using your hit and run move to go forwards a long way. Don't expect them to kill much though; strength 3 just doesn't cut it in my opinion unless you have a seriously large number of attacks.

It could be cool to have a bunch of arcothingamies. 3 units even. The assassin is ok but not actually legal in your set up and you can't get a daemonhunter inquisitor unless you take a lord, as all your elites slots are gone. A unit of repentia might be ok but the arcos are probably better/funnier.

I'd cut down on the seraphim and make them tank hunters with a couple of melta pistols. Swap two of the penitent engines for exorcists and the callidus and repentia for more arcothingies. If points allow, upgrade the storm troopers to another sisters squad and put the priest with one of them.

Celestine is a risk, you can lose faith points when she dies, i would go for a cannoness with blessed weapon, litanies, jump pack, book and bolt pistol.

you do indeed need an =][= to get the assassin, and tbh, you don't really need one.

the list is, frankly, anarchic and unpredictable. without Celestine, you have 2 faith points, this is nigh on useless. don't take storm troopers where you can take sisters, where you take sisters, always take rhino and VSS with Eviscerator and Book.

and a blessed weapon is a heroine only weapon, so a VSS cannot take it

i know this is supposed to be a fun list, so if you use it, the best of luck to you, but i would tear this list apart with my own sisters, let alone another army, before it even reaches my lines

As a veteran sisters player, I can promise you that you will not have much fun with your current army list. I think you need to take a better look at your codex and try not to get so distracted by all the fashy units. I know this list is ment to be fun, but as it is very lacking...

As the others have stated, Celestine is over priced and totally not worth her point cost. You risk losing more than you gain with this model, read the " faithful " rule included in her profile. For far less points you can have a canoness that can do just about everything celestine can with a few more tricks to boot.

You must include an inqusitor in your army to take a assassin, end of story.

Your army lacks faith points and you will need those in order to be successful with a sister army. Drop the storm troopers and take more sisters, and add veteran superiors to every squad to make them faithful.

It doesnt matter if your models are only strength 3, thats what acts of faith are for... with the right combinations of weapons and acts of faith, your sisters could very well become strength 8 in CC ( Kill a space marine out right ).

Seraphim are NOT deep striking units... Also do not take them lightly, they are very very very effective with twin inferno pistols... Give the squad 2 sets of inferno pistols, the vet superior a eviscerator, and give the entire squad some melta bombs, and you landed yourself a kick ass fast moving squad of tank rapers.

*** also Blessed Weapons are canoness only weapons and cannot be given to veteran superiors ***

Drop the pentient engines.. They wouldnt do you any good unless you have ALOT of them, stick with a few Exorcist battle tanks.

Okie well first off

-You DO need an inquisitor to take an assassin
-Seraphim VSS can't take blessed weapon.

Other than that its a pretty fun army to play. It would be interesting, you are either going to totally destroy an opponent or get messed up yourself. More likely get destroyed than destroying.

Storm Troopers with plasma guns. They aren't going to do much footslogging and will probably be dead before they do anything. Either make them a squad of 10 or give them something to ride in (rhino or chimera).

Seraphim. You have no antitank stuff I would get these girls meltabombs. Flamers on the troops are a good choice. Maybe drop them down to 8.

SOB. Maybe swap a storm bolter with a heavy flamer. Other than that looks good

Acro Falellants: Looks fine to me, never used them. Be careful how you use them.

Penitent Engines: Never used these either, sounds fun to use, Will probably get shot to death pretty quickly.

Overalll, very fun army to play, not very competitive
