When you say pure 1500 points, what do you mean exactly?

I don't often see the psyker as a henchman choice. People tend to try to supplement the objective holding power of GK with warrior acolyte squads and the close combat killiness with mixed Death Cult Assassin and Crusader squads. These tend to cover the weak points of Grey Knights (combat resolution and holding objectives) for affordable points costs. What was your concept for using the psykers?

Thing is, with combat squads he has 6 scoring units here. He will want to be sorting his psycannons from his bolters into 2 squads so that they can stand still to use their psycannons to maximum effect while the others are able to deploy more tactically while moving about.

The psykers are a fantastic unit as they provide some much needed template, one of the few sources for a strong blast gk have. I would recommend taking 8 though for the added reliability. I would also recommend dropping the dreadknight, as it is out of place here with all the shooty stuff in your army and won't really be supported in melee and will have a hard time getting there without a teleporter. I would drop it to add an aegis with quad gun, and 2 extra psykers. And if you are already taking a chimera with them, you can model it with a heavy bolter turret + hull weapon, and then take psybolts with that for 60 points. A worthy investment.

The aegis will give you reliable anti-air which you really lack in this list. The dreadnoughts are alright, but are suited to better things, and for 100 points and the great cover it provides, you can't go wrong. It is especially great to put psykers behind, and have your acolyte man the quad gun, if you would prefer to have Coteaz escorting strikes up the field. Or he could always hold the rear and man it with a better ballistic skill, it's up to your preference. His prescience can always help to guide that s10 ap 1 large blast to maximum effect, and at 36" that is some great firepower. If you're lucky he might be able to get it to ignore cover saves...divination is great.

from what i see: drop the dreadknight for something else, merge the 2 psybacks to a full squad with a rhino. you can also, to replace the dreadknight, get a small squad of DCA with Crusaders in a transport.

I would lose the one psyrifle dread and the purifers.Take up to 2 stormravens, sponsons, multimelta, assaultcannon, psybolts for 255 points (510 for 2). They are great and you have none. If you can't afford 2 take 1 and an aegis and quad gun. If you want to be competitive you need good ant-air, and psyfledreads aren't it. They can do it, but they're suited to better things. The rest of the list is excellent.

Sure it's a lot but you have no anti-air. Unfortunately gk have no cheap anti-air options. You said as competitive as possible, and if you want that you need multiple reliable anti-air options. This list has none.
