Give him Cloud of Flies. For 5 points, negating the charge attacks from others is very good.

Skip the Icon. And these guys shouldn't be in units larger than 7. Hell, if you can, make them 2 units of 5.

Bloodletters X10
Bloodletters are tricky to use. So don't waste them.

These units are great. The only problem with horrors is that they tend not to work unless there's lots of them. So maybe you should find something else, or get an extra squad.

Ideally, crushers should have all of their upgrades as they can then play wound allocation games all day long. That makes them infinitely more survivable.

These are definately your army's strongest feature. Watch out for melta weapons and they are a force to be reckoned with.
Generally, you seem to lack something to destroy mech with. As such, it is a shame if you are limited to these models as your list could really use some more horrors or, better yet, some Tzeentchian heralds with bolt.
Your army also seem a bit unfocused. A bit of everything can be a dangerous tactic as the daemon army is very unpredictable so more than any other you should have a plan in mind. If you don't you will quickly be in trouble when your letters are gunned down and your horrors are caught in H2H.
Synergy is key.

I think you should exchange the crushers with some fiends of slaanesh which have better stats (my opinion) and are cheaper.

Well the main armies that will have mech are probs me mates DE and the couple of marine players. I wanted to include a Tzherald but I dont have the points, Il get rid of a few PBs but not the icon i think thats one of their 2 bbest uses, objectives and aggressive DS then the big stuff comes in with ease. Id use the wound allocation tricks if i had more points but I dont know where to get the points. And i know the Anti-tank is gonna hurt but with phlegm blasts and a bit of luck Ill be able to nutrilise them quickly.

@Jason - I was wondering when some one was gonna post that, i think they arent that good if the enemy manages to open fire on them, each die as easy as 2 letters

Well, Plaguebearers are one of the best units to hold icons, but it's not really necessary for them to do so, because the cheaper they are the better. After all, the only thing they are good at is holding objectives and tying units up. Icons are expensive and not that needed if you're just playing carefully.

I have yet to play a battle where I really wished I'd brought an icon.

And competitively, fiends are better than crushers. Why? Because they are much faster. So even if they can't take as much punishment you can just drop them behind cover or out of LOS and they will still be just as quickly, if not quicker, into H2H than crushers dropped right in the thick of it.

At a thousand points, I wouldn't use any icons, except on crushers. You're going to have breathing room with such a low model count on the table. Keep the soul grinders exactly as they are, that setup never lets me down. Four troop choices aren't needed for 1k points, combine the pink horrors into one squad.

I have to disagree with the Fiends are better than Bloodcrushers. In my experience, the crushers are great in the fact that they are very powerful, AND they are tough as nails. People tend to pour a lot of firepower into them, leaving a large part of my army undisturbed the first turn or two. And when they do end up in combat eventually, four attacks each S6 I5 power weapons tend to do well against most targets.
