Well....One day i read the Black templar codex and fell in love with the fluff...
So after some debating and what not here is a list i came up with.

Hq

Marshal w/bolt pistol and chain sword 82pt

command squad: 4 initiates and a Sergeant. 120pts
3 w/Bolters
2 w/missile Launcher

Emperor's Champion. 140 pts
w/AACNMO

Troops

Crusader Squad. 221pts
8 Initiates 1w/melta gun, 1w/Powerfist
1 Neophyte (Ulrich)
Rhino w/ EA and smoke launchers

Crusader Squad. 221pts
8 Initiates 1w/melta gun, 1w/Powerfist
1 Neophyte (Bob)
Rhino w/ EA and smoke launchers

their fluff is certainly easy to fall in love with isn't it?

I usually give my marshal a power weapon and terminator honours.

not sure how I feel about the command squad. they are good in lower point games, 1500 points might be a bit much for one. either way if you take one pay the points for an apothecary.

troops look great. keep in mind we dont have to rely on rhinos as much as other space marines but it is good to have them available of course.

I dont know if your dreadnought is already built and everything with that set-up, but if its not I'd suggest giving it a close combat arm instead of the missiles. the missiles never seem to do well and with the accept any challenge vow your dread gets to re-roll failed hits as well; and that's for a strength 10 weapon.

I'm a fan of the preds as well. for bigger games of course, save that third heavy slot for the LRC. It was made for assault terminators, and assault terminators were made for the black templars (give 'em lightning claws and they get to re-roll failed hits and failed wounds in close combat)

Thank you for the input, and my dreads arms are magnetized...so i just slap on any option i want..

The command squad was really the only way i could cram two missile launchers in a squad of guys..

I may be reading the entry wrong but, you can take the Landraider crusader as a transport for the assault termies, so it does not take up the heavy slot..

I would def give your marshal term honors and a pair of lightning claws. With the vow he becomes a beast that rapes just about anything.

I am not a big family of command squads so I'd just take another crusader squad.

Your crusader squads look good. And I would def have your dread with his ccw.

The press are good. Auto/Las press are the way to go.

And yes, black templars can take lcr as transports for like everything. Its awesome!!!
