Before i post list i dont want a abaddon argument, i think hes awesome :D

HQ -

Abbadon the despoiler - [275]

Daemon Prince w/ Wings, MoN, WT - [160]

Troops -

8 x TS
1 x Aspiring sorcerer w/ meltabombs + bolt of change - Dedicated Rhino - [314]

7 x PM
1 x Plague champion w/ power fist - Dedicated Rhino - [236]

Elite -

5 x Terminators
1 w/ Reaper auto-cannon 1 w/ Heavy flamer - [180] (Deep striking)

Heavy Support -

2 x Obliterator Cult - [150] (Deep striking)
2 x Obliterator Cult - [150] (Deep striking)

(note: with the oblits, not sure whether to drop 1, make it a squad of 3, and spend 75 points on upgrading troops)

Total: 1465 Pts


Ok, rate it! What to improve, i like the listings, but not so sure about the actual power ups ect i have.

Note: I like to think this is quite an original list, is it? :D

Abbadon aside.. Any character costing this much at 1500 points is not a good thing but if you gotta have him you gotta have him... :)

Similarly to my earlier Abbadon comment I am not overly keen on Terminators in a lower points game. You also cannot have both the Heavy Flamer and Reaper in the same squad mate. Think about what role you want for them.. Perhaps you want them to open up a troop transport and charge the contents? In which case give them all combi meltas. Or maybe deepstrike near the enemy line take out their gunline.. In this case take the Heavy Flamer and combi flamers for the rest.. I would leave the Reaper Autocannon behind as for the same points you can kit out the whole squad with combi weapons

I do like your list apart from the fact there is no Khorne in it.. :p

I agree with Hesky about everything but make the prince MoS and lash! Do everything else he said, though! Happy Gaming!:biggrin::biggrin::mrgreen:

if you were going to drop any thing, i'd drop the DP and maybe the termies.

if you keep the termies, turn them into termicide, drop two of them and the Reaper, and just use combis with an optional HF.

Abaddon is simply eating up too many points at this point level for you to make too many other changes.

The main thing to note is, i play against really unintelligent people. who see larger models and panic, so its just a case of sending my biggest thing straight down the middle and flanking everything else. Might sound dumb, but i playeda game yesterday, was like 1000 pts i used something vague like

DP, WT, MoN, Wings

8 Thousand Sons 1 aspiring sorc w/ Rhino

7 plague marines w/ Rhino

5 termies, RA.

I sent my DP straight at his Imperial gaurd tanks as fast as i could, and sent the 2 rhinos round the map, and he completely ignored them. Ignoring the fact that my DP destroyed his whole army single handedly, the fact is when playing against people who dont think about things, its not a case of having it planned out so much, but just to have a list that gets things done quickly, so the other person cant think quick enough.

But yeah, i'll drop the RA on a termie, give them all Combies. Keeping DP and Abaddon because my main 2 armies to fight are tau and imperial gaurd, and i wanna rip through tanks asap. I like the termies for deep striking, gets me into assault vs tau quicker, which i need.

opinions on what to do with the oblits? One guy said have them follow the rhino's for support, other guy said just deep strike them right in the shit as like kamakazi. Not really used thembefore, so need advice there.


EDIT: To the guy who said about not having khorne, all i can say is tha ti have a 12 Khorne berserkers available irl, but not a 3rd rhino for transport. So any ideas on that front is more than welcome :D

and sorry about this post being long winded. Tl;DR very much so. :)

Put your zerkers in the rhino and keep the thousand sons on your home objective. If the guys you play are that stupid they proberly wont think to shoot at them and you've got a game winner, Also they have 24" range bolters, you dont have to rapid fire them, just use the single shot.

Put your zerkers in the rhino and keep the thousand sons on your home objective. If the guys you play are that stupid they proberly wont think to shoot at them and you've got a game winner, Also they have 24" range bolters, you dont have to rapid fire them, just use the single shot.
Zerkers cant go in a rhino :(

dude I've seen alot of lists with zerkers in rhinos so either your wrong or ALOT of people are playing wrong, but I think that you're just wrong! We all make Mistakes, it happens!:biggrin::laugh:

I don't know where you got that from but 'Zerkers can use a Rhino, it's a dedicated transport for them . Just because people sometimes field them in landraiders doesn't mean that they can't be transported in Rhinos. All troop choices, and infantry for that matter can use the Rhino, save people with terminator armour, jump packs and bikes.

That's a very big mistake to make! Berzerkers have to have a transport, or else they're shot down first thing.

Total: 1490

Not much changed, but a few weapons difference.

Any ideas what you'd do if i dropped abbadon? let see what some people think :D
