Am looking at doing eldar next have started painting some up (pic's soon) and this is the list i'm thinking of running.


Karandras 215

6 Striking scorpions, exarch with biting blade 113

6 Fire dragons, exarch with flamer and crack shot 113

8 Harlequins, shadowseer, 7 kisses 202

5 Pathfinders 120

4 Jetbikes, 1 cannon 98

5 Warp spiders, exarch with extra spinner, power blades 137

3 Dark reapers, exarch with tempest launcher and crack shot 142

Falcon, scatter laser, holo-field, spirit stone 175

1500pts

What do we think? :D

Oh i dunno man! Karandras is fairly cool but i wouldn't take him! IMO if you want a SP leading the army it has to be either Yriel or Eldrad. However i think most people would say to just go for the 140pts autarch of doom( bike, lance, mandiblasters, fusion gun). IMO keeping the
points down in non scoring units is the key.

I like scorpions, I'd give the Exarch the infiltrate ability, and then upsize the unit a bit. IMO they are better as a counter attack unit, but a lot of people cant see past harlies!

I like this unit. Keep the numbers down to 6 so they can go in a falcon. Exarch with a re-roll dragons breath is great for fun loving orky love! lol

Ahh the unit of choice. IMO shouldn't be as big. I'd drop it to 6 and catch a ride in the other falcon.

5 Pathfinders 120
Very good unit.

4 Jetbikes, 1 cannon 98
Ok so can understand to logic of taking 4, but IMO 3 might be better. The only reason that unit exists is to fill a troops slot and grab objectives. For an extra few points you could have a 10 would guardian unit. So i'd dorp them to 3, if your opponent is shooting at them then you have done something very wrong and have probably lost by that point anyway.

5 Warp spiders, exarch with extra spinner, power blades 137
I do love Warp Spiders but i think you need more of them. Invest some of the points that you have saved from other places in the army and buy some more. If you deside to go with Eldrad then always guide them where poss. Doom is also a hideous power when used with a lot of shots!

3 Dark reapers, exarch with tempest launcher and crack shot 142
Again you really need to look at the size of the unit. 3 Dark Reapers are going to get felt, and not in a nice way! IMO the Tempest is a waste of points, Missile launcher and Fast shot all the way.

I'd perhaps drop the Scatter Laser to a Shuriken Cannon, then look at adding a second, The extra range of the Scatt doesn't really matter as most of the AT coming back at it will probably out range you guns anyway! Again if you have the points feel the love, and vector those engines!

I hope this might give you a few ideas. Have a wee think and lets see what you come up with mate!

Ok, i like this a bit better. Coz you've went for the higher strength weapons you probably dont need the "doom" ability. The one thing i'd still like to point out is with the Falcons.

Most AT weapons are long range. Plus your transporting you hariles and Dragons so you will need to get close to drop them off. A Scatter laser is 15pts for 4 shots at S6. The Shuriken cannon upgrade is 5pts for the top one, and 10 points for the bottom one. Thats 15pts for 6 shots at S6. Unless you have built them already, i'd make that switch

Good number of bodies, consider taking the Chainsabres over the Biting blade. More attacks and such. Very good.

Drop the flamer. That's the fatal flaw with most Eldar lists. Each unit is designed to do one thing. Fire Dragons are not meant to fight troops.

Pretty solid.

Possibly even out the numbers because these guys might be drawing fire and they will die

Drop the power blades. Waste of points. Spiders are shooting units, not assault. And if they get assaulted, you're not using them right.

Consider Shuriken Cannons. Seriously. I cannot tell you how many times they've saved my ass.

Good enough, normally I'd tell you to drop the missile launcher and just push out a solid firebase for covering everyone else, but the lack of static AT in the list warrants this.

Overall as an Eldar list, this is pretty good. Only thing I'd worry about is lack of bodies for 1500 points, but other than that, you're solid. [/i]

Personally i think kharandras is a beast, and in some cirmcumstances he could potentially single handedly wipe out your opps army, like vs tau for example. If you like him, keep him in. I find farseers of limited use, and to make the one in your second list useful i would invest in a jetbike. the falcons IMO should both have 2 shuriken cannon, more weapons to be destroyed and will do more damage.
your warpspiders i don't think actually need an exarch, unless his having the withdraw skill which is prob the most useful upgrade for him. If there's nothing else to spend the points on then keep him in, but otherwise drop it.
With the scorpian exarch i would still field scorpians claw even at the now reduced strength. Still kills marines on 2+ and thats where it is most affective, otherwise your give the combat advantage to marines.

**Get Runes of Warding instead of Witnessing, anti-psyker defence and less chance of rolling Perils.

**These need Stalker as well, their lack of speed is their problem and getting through terrain faster than normal is required.

**Agree with Antioch, but this is personal preference and you don't have much anti-horde.

**Spend those extra 4 points to give them all Kisses.

**Do you really want to be getting bogged down in combat with these guys? Without Withdraw you will be. I'd chuck the blades.
