I'm not that familiar with Nurgle daemons but I think I know the basics. Do the heralds just run with the plague drones? It's a shame they can't take one of those plague drone steeds but anyway I love the idea of feel no pain on that big drone unit.

I'd just take plaguebearers for troops. Much better for theme and you get to make use of that new Nurgle daemon bundle GW have released. Looks like a strong list whichever way you go with troops

Hmm, yeah, nothing wrong with the dronestar half of the dronestar/screamerstar pairing, with bonus 2+ cover saveable Soul Grinders to boot. A lot of eggs in one basket, but unless your opponent is bringing some seriously borked shit at 1250, that shouldn't be too large a risk.

Whether to go with Squire's advice or not really depends on how committed you are to theme vs function. I think your touch of rust and poison on plaguebearers would be useful, but in terms of backfield support, a warp charge bank and a shot at some good Malefic powers seems like it would go farther. Shame you don't have 10 points to throw into the horrors to max out their efficiency, but barring only taking a lesser reward on the dronestar's plaguebringer...
