Ok this is the list I just theorised
Given I face grey knights a lot, assault marines do nothing and my opponents know it.. So termies are the ONLY thing on their kill list at the start :(

So I made this :)

Couldn't decide if I wanted a captain for the challenging and that kick arse model... Or a reclisiarch for re roll hits on the charge
Decided agaisnt Libby as non of the current powers really pop for me, and I've lost the magic phase (eck hem PHYSIC phase sorry) no matter what I do...

This also has the problem of model clashes... There's only so many termie models I can convert...
If I have the termie chaplain as the chaplain if I take him
Convert another termie Libby into a preist
What becomes the other preist?
Or I use a captain and the chaplain becomes a priest as well :)

Captain- terminator armour, x2 lightning claws (using Claudio model)
160
OR Reclusiarch- terminator armour
160

x2 10man assault terminator squads- x10 TH/SS
900

x2 sanguinary priests- terminator armour
190

1250
Bang on the nose :)

Take the Reclusiarch, he benefits the squad without Deny The Witch playing a role. You have other Character models in the unit for challenges with more effective weapons than a Maul, so no worries on that front. Lightning Claws and Mauls alike are useless against 2+, at least your Reclusiarch will be attacking naturally at S6/S7 on the charge thanks to FC from the Priest.

I like this a lot; it's basically what I'm doing with my Deathwing army aside from they can't take all TH/SS, and maintain a shooting presence due to the nature of Deathwing squads thanks to Cyclone Missile Launchers. Biggest problem is it simply being out run, but that heavily depends on what you will be facing with it.

They will be out run :D
I face a knight which I can do nothing about without a COMPLETE list change
And grey knights a lot
As well as tau
And horde orks

Tau player camps in one corner of the maps, his whole army so you have to try not to box him in :)
Ork player charges at you
Grey knights, including knight Titan mostly charge back, sometimes one of them will start to move back and fire, keeping me at arms length, but I just dive behind the nearest building and he starts coming at me again :D
Overall this army wouldn't do jack shit with a competant general on the other side, but there's non of those around :D except me of course :p

Also any ideas on models for the priests?
My budget for each one is ~£15 which is quite a lot to be honest
I'll be buying the apothecary kits from bits and kits
I looked again in the gw website, every space marine chapter under HQ, brother captain stern was the only other one that seemed to work
Then I though maybe a death wing squads
They come with a apothecary set, plus I'll be able to pose them myself, have 3 spare, cheaper and dark angels iconography isn't *too* different
Although grey knights don't really have any chapter specific ones either, just writing

Also, what would giving onw squad lighting claws do for me?
They'll do better against non terminator armies, and the amount of AP 2 I face is admittedly minor
I'll keep 10 TH/SS because 1. Their built
2. Anti armour/ big things
Also the claws would struggle against other termies

Honestly, I think this list is going to fail against what you are saying your opponents play like. It's a cool list and I enjoy what's going on but yeah...you can't even Sweeping Advance in TDA so if you're facing someone with an equal or higher Initiative and you break them they will likely be getting away.

As for the Priest models, I'ma PM you a site in a second that has some....interesting offerings.

It would take away any chance of your Terminators surviving a couple D weapon shots since they're down to 5++ saves. It's not about the LC's being versatile weapons, it's about how much more that 3++ is worth to the 20 foot slogging and slow models that your army is comprised almost solely of. It's the only thing that makes this list even remotely survivable to the end of the game, and since you are going Unbound and won't be able to contest a Battle Forged army's held objectives...starting to see where I'm coming from on the LC vs. TH/SS thing?

I though strength D ignored all saves, of any kind, so how would a 3++ help?
I just thought that lightning claws would save 50 points... For no idea what :)
Maybe a militorum pysker?
And be *better* against 3+s as they strike at the same time, with an extra attack...
Ands there's not a whole lot of AP 2 around

Only on a 6 when rolling for results of the hit, as per the 7th ed. BRB. On a 2-5 you're allowed your invulnerable saves, 1 is a big ol' fail. If it was the case that you were going to take this list against a Knight that disallowed any saves at all it would be....dicey for you.

Maybe a militorum pysker?
You thinking a Primaris Psyker from the Astra Militarum 'dex? With Prescience taking two Warp Charge points I'd wager ML2 would be a pretty necessary-for-output upgrade and you don't really have 25 points to squeeze out without compromising the effectiveness of your remaining units. Don't really know of what else would help you out the most from the Psychic Disciplines in this instance. Not to mention you face Grey Knights, so good luck casting anything with one ML1 psyker on the table on a low D6 roll for Warp Charge dice in the Psychic Phase.

Against the Orks I could see a use for the LC Terminators, where a unit charging you can take you down with sheer dice. Attacking at Initiative there would be good, but against the other two lists I definitely see the 3++ winning out. Plus Orks and Terminators are both I4 I'm pretty sure, I'd still rather be able to roll 3++'s at Power Klaws from Nobz over 5++'s and attacking simultaneously. Not to mention your unit of LC Terminators can do just about dick all against a Vehicle since Terminators don't have Krak grenades, and Shred doesn't always stack up against the Hammer wounding on a 2+ up to T6 (if you're facing things tougher than you in CC).

I'd say you've got it right taking massed TH/SS Terminators, if you're going to take all Terminators. It's the only way my Deathwing army makes it past T3 most of the time. What would be really cool is using this as a base for your Unbound lists to build from. Adding in some dakka from a pair of Baals or some pie plates from Vindicators would really help this list out, and that would barely push you past 1500. Garnish with Fragiosos in Drop Pods or some Stormravens for anti air....fun times!

Orks are initiative 2 think, or 3 so claws go first
If I took the lighting claws I would keep them away from the knight Titan and let the hammers mop it up...
And I never play above 1250 unfortunatly, but I defiantly agree about the future expansions of this army, and I had forgotten that prescience was warp charge 2 :/ so no Primaris pysker then
It seems hammers win by default then, based on the fact that 50 points get me nowhere :)

Also that links cool but I couldn't find any thing...
I search 'sanguinary preist' then 'terminator' but didn't find anything relevant that wasn't on the gw website...
So could you please give me a heads up on exactly what I looking for there :)

That's a shame. As much as I like smaller games from time to time for quantity of games in a shorter period, the big games are my favourite. My buddy is expanding his CSM army due to the new Psychic Phase, I'm STOKED to get in 3k games against only one person (and larger against more ).

I would LOVE to get into a 3k game lol, even 2k would be great, let's me use my entire collection for once :)
I've played some events down my local gw, each person bringing 750 and like 8 per side...
Always ends up one player turn taking about an our as 16 rowdy kids squabble over stuff
Also ends up about 8 land raiders, 4 Calgars, 3 ghazguls and 6 draigos running around as well... I've learned to stay well clear since :)
And that T-shirt on the web site looks beast :) if only I could convince my mum that $20 is worth a single T-shirt... When we live in England...
Lorenzo becomes a priest, maybe joined by Omino, noctis?
Goriel probably gets his 'stealer spine looted for a assault squad sarge
Gideon maybe becomes a sergeant
Claudio either become sarge or captain...
That leaves assault cannon, heavy flamer and 4 scrubs, including chain fist
I'll probably get it, thanks for the link :)
