What can I say I like the Night Lords, and I want an army that does them justice, so here's my idea:

Biker Captain with Powerfist - 160 points.

Biker Squad, 5 Bikers, 2 Meltaguns, Attack Bike, Sergeant with Powerfist - 225points.

Biker Squad, 5 Bikers, 2 Meltaguns, Attack Bike, Sergeant with Powerfist - 225points.

Tactical Squad, 10 Marines, Missile Launcher & Meltagun, Sergeant with Chainsword & Combi-melta, Rhino - 210 points.

Dreadnaught with Plasma Cannon & Missile Launcher, Drop Pod - 160 points.

Basically the Tactical squad hangs back and provides fire support, whilst the Dreadnaught drops behind enemy lines and wreaks as much havoc as it can, allowing the bikers to advance. Don't know if it would work, but I like the theme.

Might work... I don't think bikes do well under 2K... but at 1K there is a lot that can happen.

I would suggest dropping the Tac squad for a TL Las razorback for better fire support. Also, that will free up 75-ish points that you can use to upgrade the attack bikes to meltas...

Also, if you're gonna drop a dread... you should give him a Multi-melta... that way he becomes an immediate threat to tanks (2d6 AP FTW)

maybe put multi meltas on the attack bikes and lose a melta of each bike squad for the extra range for tank busting and MC killing

and as above if your packing a plasma cannon dont deepstrike your dread let it chip away from a safe distance or switch to a melta it

give the Capt. a Relic blade; PFs on IC = fail.

the biker squads look good.

if you're wanting fire support, why not go with a Scout squad with sniper rifles and a ML?

i'd take 7-8 of them.

with the points left you could try for a small biker squad with melta weaponry for tank killing.

drop the Dread: the whole point of taking bikes is to be fast, which Dreads are not. i'd take to Tornado LS with MM/HF.

and the cool thing is, since it's pre-Heresy, it's conceivable that NL would have equipment available to them that they wouldn't have after going traitor.

a LS pained up in Night Lord colors would be cool, so would the Scouts.

maybe trade the tac for 2 typhoon ls w/ mm, to run distraction and hopefully pop some light armor. then drop the dread for some sniper scouts to pin down/de-mobilize, as malaclypse says, 7 or 8. Not sure where that leaves you for points but i'm sure it leaves you somewhere! GOOD LUCK!

oh yea, i agree with malaclypse again, why drop your captains initiative to 1 when his 5 is your greatest overall? relic blade all the way.
