Hey guys, i been studying alot about WH40k and what units are good and such, here what i came up with

HQ

Overlord [Phylactery, The Veil of Darkness, Warscythe]

Elites

Lychguard
6x Lychguard [6x Hyperphase Sword & Dispersion Shield]

Troops

Warriors [Ghost Ark, 10x Necron Warrior]

Warriors [15x Necron Warrior]

Fast Attack

Canoptek Wraiths
Canoptek Wraith [Whip Coils]
Canoptek Wraith [Whip Coils]
Canoptek Wraith [Whip Coils]

Heavy Support

Annihilation Barge [Gauss Cannon]

999 points

My idea behind this would take the O-lord and lychguard to the frontlines (or deepstrike them on the opponents side) and back them up with the Wraiths while the Ghost Ark goes around taking objectives and the 15 warriors and AB as backline support fire

as a first army, i think its pretty solid, just wanted some advice if it would be a good all rounder

Thanks,

Thanks,
sorry that no one has replied here yet.
actually, i don't know much about necrons as in list building to win.
my philosophy is sort of old school.
i collect the models that i like around a theme.
and i paint them and model them as a set list,
as a collection.
i don't worry about table top effectiveness,
probably because i roll 1s a lot
and also because i was never very good at playing games to win
(meaning, i tend to lose a lot).

so, on reading your list, if you like this collection,
as if would feel proud looking at it while it sits on the display shelf where it will reside most of the time, be honest,
then this is the army to collect and play.
moreover, with this attitude, i expect that your opponents will also be happy to see your army on the other side of the table.

one last point.
i like the 1000 point collection idea.
i think that this is a very good game these days.
one superheavy isolated from the main force,
meets a hardened anti-tank unit with its scout support vehicles -
can they take it out?
this is a fantastic home collection theme,
and easy enough to model up a table as a permanent display something like the way that old men treated train sets when i was younger...

Looks good for a 1000 point list. Just want you to know that as of their latest codex, Wraiths are a minimum squad size of 3.

Looks like a copy+paste from Battlescribe, that's three Wraiths in the squad (named Canoptek Wraiths) each with Whip Coils.

I like the list, only thing I'd change is dropping the Lord for a Cryptek to put in the blob and taking Praetorians instead of Lychguard so they can keep up with the Wraiths but that's just a tweak for my own preferences.
