I play against mainly eldar (can give his army list if required) but also sometimes orks so I'd tried to make it versatile. This is not for tournaments though I don't want to lose every game.

HQ
El Capitano -Storm Bolter, Power Weapon, Melta Bombs
Command Squad -2x lightning claw (on separate blokes possibly)
Razorback (with alloys and a big sub)

Troops
Tactical squad, +5 big blue people, ML, flamer
Tactical squad, +5 big blue people, Lascannon, melta gun Serg w/2 CCW
Rhino (not sure which squad it should chauffeur)

Scout squad - Cowardly snipers hiding in a bush with camo cloaks

Elites
Dreadnought -assault cannon, heavy flamer upgrade

Heavy Support
Predator - Auto cannon, heavy bolter sponsons

Thoughts?

looks aight for taking care of eldar or orks. i dont think that you need three troop selections for 1000 pts. if you dropped that second tac, you could add in another dread or pred with wiggle room.

So far as I can figure it is marginally better to put the LCs on two different models. Yes, they can't gain +1 attack for dual-wield, but they will get to reroll wounds on more total attacks. That is probably better on the odds.

An interesting alternative is to give them all Plasma Guns. With the FNP they're unlikely to kill themselves...

Id put the squad with the ML and flamer in the Rhino.

And why the melta and LC in the same squad? Id do another Rocket and Plasma. you lose 1str but save pts.

And have you considered Telion? he is pretty good for his points.
