Just started playing eldar and currently have a 1000 point list. It is constrained by the models I have, so the numbers may seem a bit odd. I have been playing against SM, Necrons (destroyer heavy) and Tyranids, and it seems to do fairly well. Mostly just looking to see if there are any tweaks that should be made to it. I also want to cut it down to 750 for some games, so advice there would be also helpful.

1x Farseer: Bike, spear, Mindwar, Storm 128

3x 5x Pathfinder 360

1x 10x Scorpions: SS, stalker, Chainsabers 197

1x 6x Warp Spiders:Duel spinners 149

1x Fire Prism: SS, Holofield 160

Total should be 994. I sometimes put in a squad of 3 SL war walkers instead of the prism, and tweak the upgrades on the other to make it fit.

Note: The prism has those upgrades since it always seems to be getting shot at. And yes I know, the Farseer is not ideal as HQ, but it is the only one I currently have. Also, the tyranid guy uses the old carnifex, so advice on dealing with that would be nice (always seems to massacre me, and we cant convince him to get a new codex).

1x Farseer: Bike, spear, Mindwar, Storm 128 He is a sitting duck for getting doubled out solo on a jetbike. Storm works well with hordes, Doom works well for everything. I would give him spirit stones to llow him to cast 2 powers a turn. I would work on getting a farseer on foot if you can or go with Karandaras to run with your scorpions. He is a beast.

Your Prism is going to take a ton of hits because it is so killer. Just move 12" each turn (perferrably away from the bad guys) and shoot. You have a large number of units that can hurt his fex. Just stay out of cc if it is a cc fex and shoot it. Your pathfinders are great at taking it down as well as your prism, and the spinnerette rifle.

Is your opponent just using the 4th ed Tyrinid Codex or is he using the 5th Ed Codex with the 4th Ed Carnifex rules?

Chainsabers is a bit of a weak upgrade for the Scorpion Exarch, I would really consider giving him the Power Claw instead, yes it's only strength 6, but it's a S6 power weapon with 4 attacks on the charge, it's nice. If you can find the points you can always drop your Farseer and the Exarch and take Karandras instead, as said before, he's pretty good.

Spinnerette rifle I don't like over the Dual spinners as it pretty much means you want to be firing it at a different target to your squad which you can't do.

Thats also a lot of pathfinders, do you find you can keep them clear of close combat enough to keep them alive?
