I'm just looking at picking back up laying Warhammer after a fair old break. I've made up a casual 1000 point army for starters, Any good for a starter? Fundamentally flawed, or not even legal?

Bretonnian Lord
- War Horse
- Lance
- Shield

9x Knights of the Realm
- Musician
- Standard

9x Knights of the Realm

15x Peasant Bowmen

15x Peasant Bowmen

5x Grail Knights (Sticking the lord in here)

The units of 9 Knights in lance formation (so I think 8 of them can fight) holding the flanks of my army with my Archers in the middle chilling. The Grail Knights with Lord counter charging hovering in front of the Archers.

It's perfectly legal, but the flaw you have is you have no magic defense or attack. For an 1000 points game, I'd swap the Lord for a lv1 damsel with dispel scroll and a paladin, just to be on the safe side. If you showed the full points cost of the units, I could work out how easy that would be to change points wise. Other than that, the set up, looks fine.

I could be wrong, but do you not need the BSB in the army anymore? I read the errata about the KotR requirement being eliminated, along with several other equipment options and virtues, but is the BSB gone too?
