I got a Decimator! The thing absolutely crushed my buddy's squadron (of two X-Wings, an A-Wing, and a B-Wing), the list I ran was:

Chiraneau w/ Isard, Dauntless, Ruthlessness
Howlrunner w/ Swarm Tactics
2x Academy Pilot TIEs

Wow that large ship killed it. Even when you only are moving a 1 maneuver it still gets going because of the size of the base, its 2 straight is almost the same as a TIE's 3 straight! Not to mention the ability to shoot in a 360 firing arc, and if your opponent is all bunched up Ruthlessness deals out damage to secondary targets. Oicunn looks like he'd be fun to play, just bash your ship right into the centre of your opponent's squadron and mop up some hits. Bumper cars in space! My TIEs ran interference, moved in much faster than the Decimator did and just got in the way of the Rebel ships while doing as much damage as they could before dying. They really set up Chiraneau to sweep in and blast away the remaining hit points.

Fun times!! Tonight I see if I can take this list down with my double X-Wing double Z-95 list, I'm really hoping to push a bunch of Crits at the large ship with Marksmanship. Otherwise I think I'm likely toast!

Dauntless unfortunately doesn't play well with Isard, since you can't take the Evade Action if you have stress. Unless you ran Wingman on Howlrunner and kept her close to the Deci, but that's probably overly restrictive on something as maneuverable as a TIE.

Also, a large base ship moves EXACTLY the same distance as a small ship that has a dial set to 1 speed faster, so a 2 on the Deci is the same as a 3 on a TIE and so on. Good for keeping in formation. :)

Just to kinda keep things going on the Empire, too much love for the rebellion means you go away Alderaan style.

I wrote up this little fun list, thinking about wanting to try it out in the next couple of days.

most likely this list would do poorly against most lists, I kinda made it for scenario missions where a lone Large ship is running away from the Empire, a la the Falcon's run from the death star...

Royal Guard Pilot — TIE Interceptor 22
Marksmanship 3
Shield Upgrade 4
Hull Upgrade 3
Royal Guard TIE 0

Royal Guard Pilot — TIE Interceptor 22
Marksmanship 3
Shield Upgrade 4
Hull Upgrade 3
Royal Guard TIE 0

Tetran Cowall — TIE Interceptor 24
Marksmanship 3
Shield Upgrade 4
Hull Upgrade 3
Royal Guard TIE 0

Whoa thread neglect. Thanks for the responses! Let's see here....

determination on the decimator is something one of my friends swears by
Now, I do too! Ditched 5 damage cards through it in one game, usually it gets rid of at least 2.

Dauntless unfortunately doesn't play well with Isard
I have noticed, though would have sooner if I had have checked this thread :/

Super sweet list of Interceptors
..but unfortunately I only own TIEs and a Decimator.

I have been running (quite effectively, I might add) this list recently after the initial games with the OP list:

Decimator
Chiraneau w. Determination, Isard, Rebel Captive, Jerjerrod
3x TIEs
Howlrunner w. Swarm Tactics
2x Academy Pilots

So far it's been great and been plastering my Rebel list (in that other thread of mine you've all commented on ), seems like I'm left with either TIEs or the Decimator at the end of every match. The Decimator is much more stacked with things that will keep it alive since Chiraneau already has offense covered. Printing off a ton of cards really helped open this game up to me! I will one day have them all as printed by FFG...but yes. Anyone have any thoughts on the current incarnation of my Imperial list?

Seems fair and valid list assuming you're wanting to run TIEs with it. Jerjerrod is cool, but I tend to take him with an Int Agent on Oicunn. If you're finding your Decimator is surviving crits reasonably well then you could potentially swap him out for a Merc Copilot or Predator EPT, although then you're relying on Captive and Ysard to keep you alive. Just play around with various combinations for a few games and see which you prefer running. Ships with crew are possibly the most flexible of all, so experiment and see what suits your style!

Soontir Fel's ability should read;

"Whenever Soontir Fel sees Ste pick up evade dice he receives 10 stress tokens"
It's funny because it's true!

I played against a Deci and a tie phantom with Wedge Biggs and Tycho. Tycho kept the phantom busy with push the limit lol. Wedge and Biggs focused fire on the decimator blew it up before the phantom. took about 3-4 rounds to kill the decimator but once that was gone the phantom was screwed. To play against this list it would be Wedge Biggs and Blount. Blount would take assault missiles and if your ties where near the decimator I would aim for the decimator and splash damage the ties. To me it's almost like the majority of a list needs to focus on the decimator and have one ship to disrupt the ties plans. This is a good list though and am curious on how it works for you.

@ntaw if you plan on running Decimators, I tend to fight some variant of the below

"Mr. RAMMING SPEED"

Captain Oicunn — VT-49 Decimator 42
Ruthlessness 3
Ysanne Isard 4
Mara Jade 3
Recon Specialist 3
Anti-Pursuit Lasers 2

"Mr. I get Evade Dice Now"

Commander Kenkirk — VT-49 Decimator 44
Determination 1
Recon Specialist 3
Ysanne Isard 4
Hull Upgrade 3

----

I haven't had too much experience against Rear Admiral Chiraneau, but something along these lines this is what I would probably use.

Rear Admiral Chiraneau — VT-49 Decimator 46
Predator 3
Ion Torpedoes 5
Weapons Engineer 3
Mara Jade 3
Tactician 2
Tactical Jammer 1

----

In general I found that the Decimator, with Mara Jade & Co, to be the best way to FORCE Stress upon your opponent, since the Decimator is mostly going to end up in R1 at least once, probably 3-4 times, and Rebel ships with Stress is NO BUENO.
