I have a nother game tomorrow at a friends house and was wondering what you good people thought. The last game I played went pretty well though I think I spread my points out a little too far in the army so I did some remodeling:

160pts
CCSquad: Vox, Lascannon, (MoO or OotF), Chimera

50pts
PCSquad: Vox, 2x Sniper rifles

70pts
7x Ratlings

200pts
3x ISquads: 1x Vox, 3x GLaunchers, 3x Autocannon HWTeams

155pts
Vet Squad: 3x Meltaguns

155pts
Vet Squad: 3x Meltaguns

105pts
3x SSSquadron (Sentinel): Multi-laser

105pts
3x SSSquadron : Multi-laser

1000/1000pts

There you go. It looks like it will do ok to me but it looks like it needs something... artllery, tanks, etc. Not too sure what to put in or to take out.

Id put the Vets in Chimeras.
Id consider giving the PCS Flamers and mounting them in a Chimera... unless you plan on using the orders for your infantry.

I wouldnt bother with the MoO.
Consider giving the CCS special weapons.

Consider a Russ or Manticore, but you would probably have to drop some of the Sentinels to fit it in.

I would give this Chimera to the PCS, and if you go with the MoO change the Lascannon HW to a Mortar so you can keep the entire in Cover and still fire to full effect.

50pts
PCSquad: Vox, 2x Sniper rifles
Seen as you have Ratlings in the list these 2 Sniper Rifles are a bit redundent, so by giving these guys the Chimera from the CCS you could give them Flamers and use them as reactionary unit against any enemy that threaten your line Infantry..they work well at this.

70pts
7x Ratlings
I don't really rate Sniper Rifles, but this is the unit to choose to get them, rather than wasting Vets SW slots on them.

200pts
3x ISquads: 1x Vox, 3x GLaunchers, 3x Autocannon HWTeams
Lovely, best all-round build for Infantry.

155pts
Vet Squad: 3x Meltaguns

These are an ok choice for 1K but footslogging MeltaVets are underwelming because of the short range, so unless your opponents stuff up their tactics you won't have many targets.
Give them Chimeras though and they really do shine...the synergy is amazing and is far away the most effective build, what with the mobility and 5 firepoints etc.

105pts
3x SSSquadron (Sentinel): Multi-laser

I'm guessing you don't face a lot of high AV targets because ML's are only good against Transports. They can tarpit so keeping them cheap is a good idea but I wonder if you're limiting your ability to target different enemy units, so maybe field Plasma Cannon Sentinels to deal with heavy Infantry.

There you go. It looks like it will do ok to me but it looks like it needs something... artllery, tanks, etc. Not too sure what to put in or to take out.
The vast majority of Infantry heavy footslogging lists I see all have Artillery, so they can reach out and touch the enemy from far away, and it's a perfect fit theme-wise. Depending on your regular opponents either the Manticore or Bassie are good generalist platforms (although the Manti is great, not just good). The Manticore is anti-tank/hoard/MC while the Bassie is anti-heavy infantry/light AV. All the other Artillery choices are more specialist/niche-type pieces which are better suited in higher points games than 1K.

Thanks for the quick replies. Sorry about that guys, I added the Chimeras to the Vet Squads but didn't type it out.

@Ryao: I usually play against Space Marines (all varieties), Sisters of Battle, a little Tau, a little Eldar. I try not to make my lists to accommodate my opponents list.

@KingOfCheese: Good advice there, I put the PCSquad in the CCSquads Chimera and gave them Flamers. I'm a moron for not thinking of that first.

@HOBO: Great ideas and indeepth advice. I went ahead and took the Sentinels out (they where a fast point filler anyway) and put in a Manticore which I've always liked but never tried.

100(ish)pts
CCSquad: Vox, (either 3x Sniper Rifles or an Autocannon HWTeam to add to my ISquads firepower), OoF

65pts
Marbo
(Effective points filler)

70pts
7x Ratlings

100pts
PCS: 3x Flamers, Chimera

200pts
3x ISquads: (Combined) 1x Vox, 3x GLaunchers, 3x Autocannon HWTeams

155pts
Vet Squad: 3x Meltaguns, Chimera

155pts
Vet Squad: 3x Meltaguns, Chimera

160pts
Manticore
(I plan on adding more of these bad boys the more points I play, hmmm large blasts.)

1005/1000pts

Its ok if I'm off by a few points, I just tell my buddy and he adds in something to his list. Didn't get a chance to play this weekend but next week looks more promising.

Id drop the OotF. He really isnt much benefit in low points games.

Consider running the CCS with Plasmaguns and Carapace Armour in a Chimera.
You may need to drop Marbo and a couple of Ratlings to fit it in though.

Now that this unit is static making it a firebase is a good choice, but I like your original build better (minus the transport of course). Be careful with the OoTF because sometimes it can be dangerous to prolong enemy units from coming on early..it's easier to deal with a Unit piecemeal than when several arrive late-game, and because through attrition you've lost a chunk of your own men already so you don't have as much firepower as you would have had earlier on. (man I hope that sentence makes sense..I have a massive migraine so am babbling ).

Seen as you're combining the Inf/Squads i would consider either giving them a Commissar or get a Regimental Standard to boost Morale etc)

65pts
Marbo
(Effective points filler)
He can be very good or do squat..just choose his target wisely for max effect. At least he's a stand alone type of unit and doesn't need a large chunk of the list to support him.

100pts
PCS: 3x Flamers, Chimera

Couldn't be better, well a 4th Flamer would be good.

160pts
Manticore

Yea 2 is great, but I wouldn't take 3..too limiting. Me, I would make my 3rd HS slot a specialist MEQ hunter like an Executioner..or Hydras so the MeltaVets don't have to concern themselves about low AV targets.

Best of luck with it:victory:
