Alright, this one is short and simple and I think, savage. Let me know what you think.

BATALLION
HQ:
Tempestor Prime: command rod
Tempestor Prime: Bolt pistol, power sword

TROOPS:

Scion Squad Alpha (8 men):
plasmapistol/powersword tempestor
Vox caster
2x hotshot lasgun scions
4x plasma gun scions

Scion Squad Delta (9 men)
Plasma Pistol Tempestor
Vox caster
3x hotshot lasgun scions
4x melta scions

Scion Omega
Tempestor with chainsword and hotshot laspistol
2x Scions
Scion with vox caster
2x Plasma Scions

FAST ATTACK
2x Banewolfs with hull-mounted heavy flamers.

FLYER
Fortunate Son
Valkyries with hell strike rockets, heavy bolter sponsons, and lascannon

War Goose
Valkyries with hell strike rockets, heavy bolter sponsons, and lascannon

3 drops, 1000 points.
Almost all the Scions fit in the valkyries (alpha and command squad in the first bird, delta and primes in the second). So they fly up the 20 inches, scions pop out, run into range, issue the re-roll 1 order, and supercharge. Or melt stuff. Omega deep strikes to put a little more plasma hurt on someone. Probably re rolling to wound. The bane wolfs are there in case I get second turn and they are dumb enough to move toward me.

Let me know what you think!

first of all I think that valkyrie as a first turn transport for scions is unecesary considering that scions can do the deep striking thing, unless you realy realy want to get within the 9" range.
if you would change to teleporting you could swap the valkyries with taurox prime transports for example, they have a pretty damn good amount of firepower.

Secondly I can't help but feel that if you get second turn you're going to get blasted to bits by most other armies. especialy the valks.

Otherwise i'm don't know it does look like a nice fluffy elite strike force. would love to hear how it performs on the battlefield despite my reservations about it.

Thanks for the feedback!
I would do the deepstrike thing with taurox primes but i really want to get into rapid fire with the plasmas and melta range turn one. But if i DO get blasted out of the air in the event of a turn 2 situation i will consider that. Thanks again!

Alright, so the list won by a wide margin against a raven guard army, and lost by a slim margin to a tau army.

though the loss was at 1500, using a wyvern and two russ tanks to bring it up to weight, so to speak.

Against the sons of corax, it wiped out the entirety of the army at the cost of the two bane wolves, and some wounds on War Goose. the command squad was wiped out, and the melta squad was badly deployed, but i was just being aggressive. they could have stayed in war goose and easily survived the battle.
