Ya but I think its essential. Thousand Sons are can openers when it comes to infantry but they lack anti armor for the most part. Plus it helps keep my termies safer since they lack those invulnerable saves (if your sticking to the codex)
yea i have always found chaos termies a bit of a waste when you place them in the land raider, i mean you can only place in five! i like to put in 10 khorne bezerkers cause the moment they leave the the safty of there land raider they can still assualt plus now they have the cover of apintle mounted heavy bolterto thin out troops or twin linked lascannons two hurt the hell out of a tank. again thats how i play and i don't know how you play. try putting the thousand sons in a rihno you aspiring sorccer can shoot with his pyshic power (i like bolt of change) and still be protected slightly but slightly better then normal
Lol i wouldnt touch zerkers with a ten foot pole i play straight sons. The only rule i break is oblits, i love em too much to not have em and fluff be damned. but i see your logic, no usually i keep some assault oriented termies (about 4) with a terminator sorcerer lord in the squad mwahahaha
