Default cannons and forests question

Can you pick a spot say 2 inches before a forest so the shot will hit at the said location then bounce through a forest terrain, that is about 6 inches deep, and hit a model or models on the other side of it with the proper dice rolls. Seems a bit cheesy if you can. Thanks for the help.

Cannon balls are stopped by monstrous creatures (if they don't kill them), obstacles, and impassible terrain.

So they will bounce through an normal wood.

Which is acutally quite realistic: cannon balls have a lot of kinetic energy, so a higher bounce distance would indicate breaking through branches instead of hitting the trunk.

Of course, you could always house rule a negative modifier to the bounce distance for balls passing through certain types of terrain if that seems better to you.
