Default Necropolis knights - do they have a shield?

So I was looking at the equipment for Necropolis knights and saw that the riders only have spears yet the models do have shields - are the shields ignored and just parts of the model that look cool or do I get parry saves?

Also if the shield is taken into account would this mean that they would infact get a 2+ save? As the Stone hide rule says it only takes into account the rider's armour (unless shields come into armour?), high vantage point and the fact it is mounted.

Me: To be honest im amazed there isn't a chaos god of not revising or at least chaos god of procrastination

MidnightSun: There will be, when enough people do it. Y'know when the Eldar were all engaging in their hedonism and Slaanesh ripped open the Eye of Terror with his creation? Slaanesh will have NOTHING on the God of Procrastination, and his vile minions will carve the galaxy asunder in a thousand year reign of blood.... Tomorrow

They don't have shields (in the rules) so don't get the armour bonus. Basically its incorporated into their 3+ save, so the models having them isn't 'wrong' just confusing.

Fair enough, and actually I just realised they wouldn't get a parry save anyway because they only have spears :D
