Default Does the more powerful version of Miasma of Pestilence have a cap?

The basic WoC Lore of Nurgle spell, Miasma of Pestilence reduces the target's "...Weapon Skill and Initiative by 1 (to a minimum of 1)".

The enhanced version says it reduces the stats "...by D3 (roll once and apply the result to all affected enemies)".

As the enhanced version does not say "to a minimum of 1", can it reduce stats to zero?

I think its implied that the limit of 1 remains even for the higher level casting. If not then you'll get into all these I0 issues that we see argued every once in a while.

I would probably play it as being capped; I was more interested in whether there was anything definitive I missed or similar rules that have been FAQ'd either way.

The proof by absurdity would be more compelling were it not a GW rule.

I think there's a rule in the rulebook that says that no stat can drop under 1

Page 3, BRB, says stats cannot go below 0, and page 4 gives rules for stats of 0, so it is possible to have a zero stat.

I cannot find anything capping alterations at 1, but only had time to skim the BRB so might have missed it. I will have another look later; if someone finds one first it would be good to know.

I would say the cap stays because of the wording of the rule: "instead reduces all four characteristics" shows that it works the same way but for the single difference that instead of a choice out of 4 stats all 4 are reduced.

Basically I believe the enhanced versions of spells explain how they are different to their original casting values, if something isn't listed there then it hasn't changed.
