Default Wizard's casting

Hi All,

This is probably very simple but my friends and I were playing a game last night and we came to Wizard's being able to cast. we have always assumed, and it may have been a hangover from 7th that wizard's can't cast after reform, or after charging and that since a bound spell is cast as a normal spell without using the wizarding level the same rules apply.

However, after looking in the BRB last night we can't find anything that specifically says any of those things.

Is this correct and if so can you point me in the right direction of a page reference. If not...DOH! We've been playing it wrong.

It is said that the guttural sound of Dwarfs bellowing Grungni’s name is enough to make an Elf’s knees knock and a Goblin turn a sickly shade of yellow!

Without a WRB handy, memory must take its chances here - I believe that the only times a mage is unable to cast is whilst fleeing during normal gameplay. Other effects may also apply, failed stupidity immediately springs to mind, or other spell effects and, of course being dead, etc.

Sorry I cant be more specific, but maybe that'll help get you closer.

"I refuse to prove that I exist," says God, "for proof denies faith, and without faith I am nothing."

"But," says Man, "the Babel fish is a dead giveaway, isn't it? It could not have evolved by chance. It proves you exist, and so therefore, by your own arguments, you don't. QED."

"Oh dear," says God, "I hadn't thought of that," and promptly vanishes in a puff of logic.

in the casting section of the BRB (pg 31) the only limitation for wizards casting is " wizards cannot try to cast spells if they are fleeing or not on the battlefield"

so cast away
