Fantasy Army Fluff
How many of you actually dream up a background for your armies? Do you do this first and then design the list to match, or the other way around? Do you stick with this fluff even when changing the army a bit might make it more competitive? Have you written anything, thus naming your characters and providing a history for them?
Personally, the Bloodbulls of Khaarg are in the process of having their background story written (see 'Do I Look Fat In Red'). The story was in my mind while I was thinking of how I might convert a 2250 Ogre Kingdoms list into a Beasts of Chaos list. The storyline is what eventually convinced me to go Khornate, as I really couldn't see any of the other gods in the chaos pantheon having much of an interest in the OKs. The army list design was limited to the models I had, and so the storyline pretty much followed suit, though I really don't think it made much of a difference there. The army is fully painted and played in a tourney, and the full narrative background fluff is in the works now.
How about you guys? I find that WHFB makes storytelling a bit easier and a bit more enjoyable, I think.
