Default Old One in the Southlands?

I was reading through a copy of the Lizarmen army book a few days ago and came across an interesting piece of info. It was somewhere in the stories about the land being overrun by the daemonic legions were, in one of the Southlands cities, there was reference to a 'lost' Old One taking a direct part in the battle (or guiding one of the Slann). Anyway, it got me considering if there could still be an Old One somewhere in the warhammer world. What do you guys think?

i think i read some where that in the southlands there is a "lost city of the old ones". that might be what you are refering to, but the thought of an old one in the warhammer worlod would be cool.

humm, true. This is yet again proof the Orks are smarter the Elves.-Micklez

Is it possible that it wasnt necessarily an actual Old One but was a Slann "guided by the Old Ones"? Its fairly well established that the Slann Lord in the Southlands is one of, if not the most, powerful Slann in existence so surely it wouldnt be hard to imagine that he would have some sort of communication with whatever remains of the souls of the Old Ones...

A little bit annoyed to come back to HO and find I've lost close to 200 rep.....
