Default Screamer Killers are Back!

The new 8th edition rules for the Tyranid Carnifex have been leaked and it looks as if the original juggernaut of the Hive Mind is making a comeback. The Screamer Killer variant will be an option again, as will several other variants that will allow players to choose the type of Fex they want and tailor their Fexs to the situation at hand. In my opinion this is damn overdue, the Carnifex was left behind in recent editions in favour of the newer monsters like the Haruspex and the Mawloc, it's good to see that the classic Nid monster is coming back and hopefully will be better than ever.

Oh thank fuck!

Does GW have any idea what it's like to be a nid player with five to ten carnifexes in their collection?

They're no good in game. Strengths that mean nothing in the face of their weaknesses. Strengths that are outshone by some new monster or another. They used to be the unkillable tank of tyranid lines. Now? They're buffed up tyranid warriors without synapse.

I really hope these rules change that.

Nonsense is our Salvation
