Default Figure Painter Magazine

Anybody here getting this? The price for it is stupid cheap ($1.52 per mag). Only thing I've heard is that it does have a lot of content in each issue. I know they are only on issue #19 as they are new. Any insights would be great.

It looks like a PDF only magazine, but that is a very good price. It's got to be worth a punt.

Well, I took a risk, and bought the latest issue 20. It is a PDF, and after a quick scan through it looks very promising. I'm actually quite enthused to read a number of the articles, and the layouts and presentation are very professional. At the moment, I would say it is excellent value for a £1.
After this issue, I may start from the begining.

@R_Squared : Keep me (us) updated. I don't mind that it's in PDF as I can just put it on my kindle. But if the articles in it are actually helpful/enlightening to modeling, then that's what I want.

I've bought it from the start. I like it a lot, it has very useful reviews and detailed step by steps to make/paint things.

It's a low price because I don't think the contributors get paid. Either way, it's great value.

Not something I've bought, but from the sound of it I may have a look

Quick review of what I've read so far. I'm quite enjoying it, the articles are engaging and interesting and cover new ground for me.
There are 120 pages of interviews, reviews and tutorials relevant to the hobby. if you have any interest at all, there will be something here for you. There are plenty of high quality, inspirational images, showcasing some beautifully and professionally completed models.
TBH, I will be going back and buying this from issue one, and treating myself. The only fly in the ointment, is that when you download the file, if you intend to read it on an Android device, you must rename the file extension to a .PDF otherwise it won't be recognised. That, and the fact that you may only download each issue a maximum of 5 times. Not sure why that's the case, apart from bandwidth issues.
Anyway, if model painting is your thing, then this is definitely worth picking up, there should be plenty to keep you interested.
