So it looks like GW have pulled the entire range from the website. Just a quick question as wether anyone knows if they've been moved elsewhere (another site maybe) or are collectors now limited to ebay and second hand retail?

It looks like that is the final nail in Necromunda's coffin, as the range has been shrinking online for a good while now.... :cray:

Yeah, real shame as it's easily my favourite game - ever - by GW :(

This is very true.

I've got Orlock, Goliath, Delaque and Escher gangs already, and I may start up with Necromunda again if I can convince @Logaan to take up (yet) another system :)

That's sad. It was a great use of the 2nd ed rule set.

Bragging just a little, I still have a copy of the hardbound book combining Necromunda and the expansion. Go go Scavvies!

Ditto.

Still got the boxed (first) release of the game with the separate Outlanders pack

Nice!

I never bought the initial game. I just played a lot. And found that Scavvies were totally unfair. Which since I was only scavvy player was fairly hilarious.

Typically both gaming groups I'm in are doing Necromunda games. I remember ringing up direct order a few months ago asking if they had any Delaque booster packs in stock and basically being told "No." and "Tough shit" when I asked if they were coming back in stock.

Rest In Piece.

Easily my favourite system GW ever produced. I remember getting mates round on sleepovers in my high school days and we'd play necromunda til 4 am when the sun came up.

Good times.

Makes sense from GWs perspective though. Why support a system where all tyou need to play is 3-20 models per side? When you can support systems that allow unlimited model sales? Still Corporate Whore behaivour on their part.

To be fair, whilst Necromunda is still my favourite game, it came out well over 15 years ago. All the non-box figures were metal, which they are phasing out. The rules haven't been properly supported in years. I'm amazed they kept them all available so long.

I'll still play. I have enough Escher to do my Guard Allies. They will still pop up on Ebay. Am I happy about it? No. Did I expect it? Much longer ago than this.

Hell, I'd buy it! :so_happy:

Watch those eBay prices go!

this kinda thread makes me scratch my head,GW are in the mini making business and in all honesty they are not total fools, if something in the range sells they would logically support it more, people lamented when it was announced that the specialist games/models would be only available online and not in the shops and this was the death knell for quite a few of the specialist systems, and yet on the other hand many many many games and miniatures exist and sell well enough from none GW sources as online only purchases or very limited availability in indie stores and people are perfectly happy with that, hell in some cases many gamers throw there hard earned cash at complete unknown start ups on the promise that they will send them something in the next 12 months without any form of guarantee or refund??
Games like necromunda and space hulk were a great way to play something like 40k without having to get a 6x4 out and terrain and set up etc etc, basically great for when you didnt have many hours to play and a dedicated space to play, but also they were/are cracking good fun,but i think we truly land the blame for lack of support far too quickly with GW, the rules and models have been sat on the online ordering system for years, and even if you didnt like the models as they are a little dated, there has been a plethora of indie models that could have been used instead or with the amount of plastics in the GW range people could have easily kit bashed a gang that they wanted to play.
Personally i would like to see a box set , but a good one, 4 gangs and some good scenery.

Necro is a pretty old system, and although it has stood up well to the test of time, I can see why GW have dropped it. The 3 core systems provide enough sales that they do no need to do small skirmish style games.

These are probably best left to indies to produce the rules and miniatures for. The thing about Nercro was that gangs could only last so long before it became stupidly over powered and the loss of one or 2 characters in your gang meant you would get trounced by a gang that had taken little damage in the course of the campaign.

Still it was a damn fine game.
