Necro is a pretty old system, and although it has stood up well to the test of time, I can see why GW have dropped it. The 3 core systems provide enough sales that they do no need to do small skirmish style games.
These are probably best left to indies to produce the rules and miniatures for. The thing about Nercro was that gangs could only last so long before it became stupidly over powered and the loss of one or 2 characters in your gang meant you would get trounced by a gang that had taken little damage in the course of the campaign.
Still it was a damn fine game.
Your toast has been burnt and no amount of scraping will get rid of the black bits.
