Would be great if they save you some money.

If only. You'd think that even a saving of 10% or so on a deal might attract someone to buy a formation worth a couple of hundred as the starting point of a new army, whether or not they were interested in Apoc. Makes too much sense though. It won't be long before we see the independents offer similar packages with discounts worth jumping on.

As an aside, has anybody noticed anything in the new book that has yet to have a model released for it, as we've seen in some codecies in the past?

I'll point out that some of these deals actually cost you money.

The Imperials shield Infantry company for instance, if you were to buy everything separately, using the battalion boxes, you'd save your 1, plus you'd have 3 extra sentinels into the bargain, which would cost you an extra 55 to buy.

That's because the bundles aren't priced using the Battalion Boxes, or even the multi-set bundles. The Windrider Host one is priced using the single box Vypers for example.

So yes, there are cheaper ways to get some of these kits but they are priced correctly, if a bit greedily.

That's kinda my point. If you shop smartly, you can get the same deals cheaper. Its stupid just to blindly click one button to buy things.

as the old saying goes "a fool and his money are easily parted", or was it "who is the more foolish?the fool or the fool who follows him?" or was it "it's okay to let a fool kiss you, it's okay to kiss a fool, but never let a kiss fool you!"

anyway something about fools and pitying them ?

Actually, I think the Deathwing Formation does save you money - IIRC, it's essentially buy 50 Terminators, get Belial free. Not a fantastic saving, admittedly, but still a saving.

man, has anyone else looked at some of these formations, realise you have multiples of some and then weep as it dawns on you how much you've spent on plastic crack over the years?
