Default FFG Relic Release this Thursday, 21st

Relic will be released this Thursday, FFG has also released a tutorial video

Wayland Games has it up for order now as well.

Relic was announced a long time ago and you have been able to preview it at some large conventions (likes Games Day UK last year).
It has now arrived at FFGs warehouse and is being shipped to distributors and stores worldwide, you should be able to get your hands on a copy very soon.

Now why am I posting this? What interest does this game have with me?
This little spoiler is all the reason I need and the only reason I'm getting this game.

You get 10 busts with the game, one of them being a Sisters of Battle. Not sure if they are plastic or some resin hybrid but either way it will be the first Sisters of Battle "model" release in over 10 years(I dont recall the last SoB kit, was it the Immolator? or the new Canoness? 2003?).

I intend to get 10-20 of these, if not possible to buy them then I'll just make them. Going to be painting them in different paint schemes, I'm sure some of the other busts will be cool to paint as well.

More info HERE and HERE

That long!?
And people wonder why SoB fans tend to be a little vocal.

Canoness, two Relic barers, Immo plastic sprue, Exorcist metal components, Repentia (4 sculpts?), Mistress, Penitent Engine, Arcoflagellents (Spelling?) and St. Celestine. (Not counting Inquisitorial pieces that no longer apply) This was probably GW most anemic and cheapest miniature release to correspond with a new Codex/Armybook that they have ever done since Citadel Miniatures was founded.

As good a reason as any, really.

I'll wait till MOAB (A small, local miniature expo) in October to buy a copy. (I love expo bargins )

Maybe I'll convince one of my friends to play it with me there sometime soon. They have a game library there, and you can borrow the game and play it there.

Wife: "How much do you have invested in these ... miniatures?"

Me: "I don't think invested is the right word."

From looking at the video you can see all 10 busts you get with the game at 1:52.
They seem to be, from top left to right:
Inquisitor, Space Marine Captain, Rogue Trader, Sister of Battle/Canoness, Callidus Assassin.
Tech Priest, Ogryn, Ratling, Astra Telepatica or Sanctioned Psyker, IG Commissar or Commander.

Damn, that actually looks like a lot of fun.

Might have to put my Dark Angels on hold for a while and get this instead.

Pre-ordered it yesterday from FFGs myself. I'm excited to see it finally release.

Got it from my FLGS on friday, played it in the weekend and I reckon it's brilliant! I had no previous experience with the Talisman gamesystem but everyone enjoyed it plenty. It is an evening filler and I hope FFG keep their promise of already having several expansions in the works.
