Default 2500 Point None-Competative Themed VC

After a quick flick through my dusty Vampire Counts army book a few days back, thats remained hidden in a wardrobe until now I thought Id try my hand at going for a fairly large 2500 point, strongly themed army. Now after a quick look I became interested in the fluff surronding the Red Duke and thought it was a good area to base my army around, allowing me to field plenty of options without breaking the theme. Ive written plenty of my own fluff and may post it up here, or maybe in a project log later this year ( im skint and a High Elf dragon to Zombie Dragon conversion is pretty expensive )

Anyway, for the list, I hope its not majorly cheesey, though I know other people with some cheese of their own

I don't play vampires, but don't you need vampirea to March? With only your lord on a dragon and the one unit of knights won't this really slow you down?

I would also seek to try and get in van hansels danse macabre as much as possible, book of archan is a must but also necros can take them too.

I would also question why you are takingghoulkin on the red duke, its 25 points to allow one unit to move before the game begins, I think walking death would be more valuable on your lord. +1 CR could be the difference between life and death.

i agree i think you really need to have vampires in there. it would also make sense that the red duke would have some of his most trusted lietenants leading his forces.

I know you're trying to go fluffy, I just figured I'd throw in my input from having to play against VC a fair deal:

The Red Fury/Dread Lance combo is pretty close to being the cheesiest thing you can do with the VC Book IMHO.

Not saying you're wrong for doing it, but if you're trying to go out of your away to avoid cheese, this is the first thing you need to drop from my perspective.
