It seems very specialised towards ranged warfare, and I can definitely see the merit in combining the Hive Guard with the Exocrine as a solid fire base.

Haruspex is a good choice for close combat support, but I wonder if you plan on giving him any support via those tervigons or is he basically going to be on his own?

Only real criticism I would make is the number of devourers in those gaunt units. Personally I'd be reducing the devourer count by a few per unit and replacing them with fleshborer gaunts. Those guys are gonna die pretty fast, so having the cheaper and more numerous gaunts to catch the bullets will conserve your devourer gaunts for an extra turn or two.

I could offer more feedback if I had a more definitive idea on how you plan on using this list.

Made the correction you suggested with the gaunts and reorganized for more command points. I plan on running the harpies and hive guard as heavy weapon support up front with the exocrine and biovores as long range support in back. The tervi, haruspex and termagaunts will get in close with the Mawloc deep striking in the back. Any other questions or suggestions? Neurothropes will give some good saves to biovore and exocrine as well as some synapse support up front.

Revised list is the following:

++ Planetstrike Defender +5 CP (Tyranids) [56 PL, 907pts] ++

+ HQ +

Neurothrope [4 PL, 70pts]

Tervigon [13 PL, 253pts]: Massive Crushing Claws, Power: Catalyst, Stinger Salvo, The Norn Crown, Warlord, Warlord Trait: Endless Regeneration

+ Troops +

Termagants [6 PL, 64pts]
. 4x Termagant (Devourer): 4x Devourer
. 8x Termagant (Fleshborer)

Definitely better. Between Hail of Ammo (20+ gants only), no morale problems for large groups due to Synapse, and Tervigons benig able replenish existing squads (until they get taken down themselves) the only reason NOT to go with large squads is that they don't generate as many CP that way. Weighing a Devourer against another model with a Fleshborer is one of those unhappy balancing acts

Will note that you have yet to choose your Deatchments' Hive Fleet(s), as far as I can tell, and that can drastically change the feel of your list.

Ask not the Eldar a question, for they will give you three answers; all of which are true and horrifying to know.

How do you feel about hive fleet Kronos for this army since it's a lot of shooting. Is it okay to take a warlord trait from a different hive if the rest of the hive is a different fleet.

Tervigons can only replenish squads of gaunts from a paid pool of gaunts per the reinforcements rule.

All models in a detachment have to be from the same fleet if you plan on doing that. If you are running multiple detachments, then each can use a different trait but all models in each one must have the same as each other.

What? You DO have to pay if the Tervigon is spawning new units but much like drinks, refills are free! At least, that's my reading of the rules and the relevant FAQ entry:

A: No (unless the rule itself says otherwise)
