I'm not an expert but i'd say this:
Horma, terma and stealers should be kept naked. you are just wasting points on those upgrades. a bigger bodycount is just more reliable.
Then, the general army layout: you are just advancing with a lot of guys, hoping that somethings survives long enough to reach cc (besides 8 genestealers...) that's not a great plasn. you have no way to buff your units, no real long range support, no quick treath to the enemy. Try using some biovores and a couple of venomotropes, maybe dropping those hive guards.
my two cents

If possible, go with flyrants for your HQ. Proxy the carnifexes if you have to, but one or two of them is fantastic. I'm not sure how many termagaunts have devourers, but only a few should. Keep them in the back so that, when you lose models, it's not so bad. Hormogaunts and Stealers are meh, depending on how you lose them - termagaunts would be preferable. Venemthropes are a must, gargoyles are good if you can grab them, and troops sizes should be bigger.

How many of these models do you already have? If all of them, what else do you have? If none, how much are you willing to spend?

thank for current feedback here is an updated list.

HQ:

tyranid prime a pair of boneswords, venom cannon - 150

Elites:

2x venomthropes - 90

Troops:

18x hormagaunts - 90

20x termagaunts, 7x devourers - 108

20x termagaunts, 7x devourers - 108

8x genestealers - 112

3x tyranid warriors 2x deathspitter, 1x barbed strangler - 110

Heavy support:

carnifex with 2x tl devourers with brainleech worms - 150

2x biovores - 80

total points: 998
Well here is my new list

A few questions:
1.Did I implement the feedback correctly?.
2.Is seven devourers for termagaunts enough or too little/too much?.
3.Are the biomorphs on the carnifex good or should I change them to something else, if so what?.
4.Do I have enough synapse?.

that is up to you, to decide wich advise follow and whatnot

2.Is seven devourers for termagaunts enough or too little/too much?.
if it where for me, as i said, they would be nake. seven seems a good bargain
3.Are the biomorphs on the carnifex good or should I change them to something else, if so what?.
if you think that you are going to face lots of vehicles, maybe a heavy venom cannon could come in handy, but it's not so reliable due to scatter. otherwise pretty standard fexes, for me.
4.Do I have enough synapse?
yes, you do
cheers

This looks fairly good mate!

1. this is your list, you can do whatever you want with it. there is no "correct way."
2. it seems pretty decent I don't know for sure what the optimal number is, maybe just keep testing stuff out.
3. they're fine, though I'd rather see that on a flyrant I'm not personally a fan of the prime, but oh well.
4. you're fine mate
