I'm glad you told me because I wanted to use gargoyle wings, but I wasn't too sure if they are small or not,

So I could buy a box of Gargoyles, make 7 out of 10 of them and save the other 3 pair of wings for Tyranid Warriors... then I don't just have 3 Shrikes, but 7 Gargoyles too which I can add too at a later date.

Thankyou Creon.

Found a solution to the expensive 'GW Warrior + Forge World Wings' Shrike idea - I got 3 Shrikes for 30 from ebay.

I like the purple skin, so I only repainted the Chitlin plates, but i'm stuck on the bases because i'm old school 'green flock grass base' kind of guy, whilst this guy has done a nice gravelly rubble effect (might just slap a bit of scorched earth here and there).

The only downside is that he has given 2 of them Barb Stranglers (the other has a death spitter).

I got 10 warriors in metal for 45 off ebay. One warrior box and they're all rearmed how I want. New Warrior boxes have nine basic weapons (3x deathspitter, 3x devouerer, 3x spinefists, Venom Cannon, Barbed Strangler."

Care to clarify that; just so we all know of what you speak.

I'm guessing he is refering to his signiture (nice army by the way, but sadly you don't ship to UK).

That is one explanation. Another is the post was truncated. There will be more.

Just wanted to be certain

I agree, he should have been clearer.

On a different note, my Scorched Grass has arrived, so i'm going to do up the Shrike bases to match my grass board because as much as I like the rubble, gravel effect they did... it looks out of place with the rest of my Tyranids. (might just sprinkle a bit on it leaving bits of the gravel and rubble visible).

Someone gave me a bunch of weird plastic hook-things (god knows what they are) and said "I have no use for these, so see if you can use them for your war-game-hammer". So now I have used them (and other bits) to create a Tyranid Aegis Defence Line with 2 alien-like barriers and scratch built Icarus Lascannon (the Icarus Lascannon looks Tyranid like rather than Imperial).

Just wondering what's the rules on Tyranids manually firing defence line weapons these days because it used to be Auto only, but that was with the old Codex and FAQ?
