Default Tomb Kings, 2000 points . . . to start with

Here is the beginnings of my 2000 point list, I'm concerned by the lack of bodies though.

Lord
Hierophant = 280
level 4 book of ashur

Heroes
Tomb Prince = 169
Chariot, Dragonhelm and great weapon

Necrotect = 65
ironcross thingy remember its exact name

Core
5 Chariots = 305 at the mo depends on magical banner, either flaming attacks or +1 movement

180 points ?
Archers maybe?

Special
Warsphinx = 230
Fiery Roar

23 Tomb Guard = 333
FC BofUL

Tomb Scorpion = 85

Rare
Casket of Souls = 135
Hierotitan = 175

I understand its light on numbers and that is my concern? Any ideas?
The tomb guard, Sphinx and hierotitans must stay in the list purely coz I like them but the rest can be shaken up if need be!

That might be a decent list. From all I have been told TK players need to keep the core choices to a minimum due to mondo suckage. All your best choices for the army are in Special and Rare.

one thing I want is the ability to split my fire everywhere, it makes no sense that a squad of 10 guard or marines or whatever all have to fire at 1 target with everything, is the guy with the lascannon not smart enough to realize maybe he would be better off firing at the massive tank looming overhead instead of the little man no bigger than a squat running at him, or is that far too complex for the 10yr olds?

Agreed!

Keep your core choices to a minimum and keep them mounted. I do my best to keep to the minimum 25% with Tomb Kings and Beastmen core choices. I would encourage you to take archers, but only on horseback. I would also caution you on the heirotitan....they aren't as good as you would think. Drop that and the Casket will get you another Warsphinx...which makes everyone smile...well ok maybe just you. I would also drop the necrotect since you aren't using Ushabti and give the hierophant a Talisman of Preservation. A 4+ ward is going to be most helpful in protecting him.....crumbling sucks. You will also need more Tomb Guard. I can give you an idea of how I would roll:
