I do this a bit, I tend to tell everyone what the actors have been in before as well.

I would think this is a general trait associated with those with geeky tendancies, or those utterly lost to their inner geek.

Most of my friends do this, and all of those that do are gamers, be it Warhammer or RPG style games. The usual suspects for quotables seem to be Star Wars, Babylon 5, Red Dwarf, Monty Python, and good memorable lines from all over the shop. I was using 'Your gonna love me' loads earlier this year after seeing the Dark Knight trailer.

I also like using stuff from places like League of Gentlemen, Father Ted and a few other comedies as well.

Oh course my wife can do the entire script from several Disney films, but thats a whole nother level of scary.

I think some of my most used come from those I listed above, and aye 'apology accepted Captain Needa' has been a fave of mine for a long time.

Fifth Element, Matrix, Rocky Horror Picture Show... so many good movies, all ingrained in my brain.

300, Full Metal Jacket, Platoon, Black Hawk Down... Hell, most war movies.

Still, I like going 'This Is Sparta' whenever I lay down a template.

Star Wars is one that I do alot. Admiral Ackbar is just too much fun. Han Solo too badass. And the ability to retain the speaking lines of Storm Troopers amazes myself at times.

A friend of mine does lines from Forrest Gump very well. As in, you really don't need the volume, at all.
