Aliens are cool, predators are quite cool, and colonial marines are just pure badass. Thats why I was so disappointed with the AvP film, which was NOTHING like the games. I hope this surpasses it...

I have been a fan of AvP since the original darkhorse comics. As good as the original Predator movie was I have always been disappointed in all the film release of the subject material. The conversion to film always added the human element to give viewers a recognizable protagonist. While many of the AvP stories did this as well just as many were conflicts only between the aliens and the predators and showed off much more of the Predator culture than ever makes it into the movies. This is the biggest disappointment time and again with the movies.

Saying that though I watched the red band trailer for the new AvP movie and they seem to be taking it in the right direction. I am pretty excited to see this one. As mentioned earlier we get a glimpse of the hybrid in the trailer as well. Incorporating that and the not being afraid to bump the violence to R rating are two big steps in the right direction IMO

Violence is never the answer, it is the question, to which the answer is, yes

I was pretty apprehensive when I saw 15 (I think it was) when I lookes at the alien and Predator films. 18. Knew something wrong had happened...

not that it is about the violence, but it just seemed a strange step
