Default Any Mordheim fans?

So recently I was playing a mordheim game, and it got me wondering if anyone else on the forums is a fan of the system?

On a side note my favorite part of mordheim is the implicit stories that develop around heroes as they advance for instance two of my warband heroes have sort of become the mean focus of my warband do to their advancement.

For instance:
Reiklanders
Leonard Wolfe: Was a young blood with 4 advancements and they where +2 wounds, Sprint, and Plus one WS. But this young blood became a legend when he rolled multiple injuries one game rolled the max of six, and this is where the legend begun. So the first 2 results where miraculously full recovery, the 3rd was blind in one eye, the 4th was hardened, the 5th was captured (He was sold back), and the 6Th was sold to the pit....he successfully killed the pit fighter and returned a hero.

Then the the next memorable hero that arose was Konrad Boch a marksman who got "That lads got talent" in his very first game. Then his next advancements where +1 wound +1T, and reliant. Thats right he is a human that is T5 in CC. Along the way however he got a old battle wound so some times he sneaks away to get drunk. Still this old tough bastard was so cool that I gave him a pirate like model so he could better stand out.

I used to play ALOT of Mordheim, honestly. I loved the ability to play a campaign, advance characters, etc etc. Many years ago I had a really great Shadow Warrior warband, but I ended up losing all the models (don't ask)

I'm actually working on building a new warband. Refusing to do anything 'simple', I took the rules for the Beastmen, and have renamed them as Warriors of Chaos; the champions of the frozen north, armored in vast iron and bred for war... it works perfect with the better-than-human statline that most beastmen get. The Chaos rituals still work for spellcasting, and my friend has allowed me to, once we start playing, strap on the Rituals of the Pit from the cult of the possessed.

Been playing Mordheim ever since it was released.
Matter of factly, I'm trying to start a fresh campaign every year, with old-timers as well as new bloods joining in.

40k Armies: Dark Eldar / Adepta Sororitas
WHFB Armies: Vampire Counts / Empire / various Elves
Horus Heresy: Alpha Legion / Warp Cult

I like this game a lot. Problem is finding other players in my area... seems to be no local hub of willing players . I am however training my grand kids in the games. Just takes time to get them interested enough and sat down long enough. I now get the age group thing...LOL

I loved playing Mordheim, but sadly no-one in the area shared the love...

At one time or another I tried orcs, ogres, undead, skaven, chaos, all of the Empire factions... *sniffs*... Good times. Loved the after-game roll for injuries table...

So funny story about my current campaign, I have rolled 10 heroes injuries so far and the worst was chest wound. Take a look.

1= chest wound (He gained back the T with his advancement roll the same game)
2-3=full recover
4= hardened
5=multiple injuries rolled six (Blind, full recover, full recover, full recovery, sold to the pit, hardened)
6= battle wound
7= full recover
8= robbed
9= full recovery
10= hardened

Also my young blood got 3 wounds from his 1st, and 4th roll.
