1500 Blood Angels DC

HQ:
Astorath
Mephiston

Troops:
Death Company (8) - PF, PW, Rhino
Death Company (8) - PF, PW, Rhino
Death Company (8) - PF, PW, Rhino

Heavy Support:
Devastator Squad - 4 x ML, Storm bolter (just to fill the 1500 pts)
Devastator Squad - 4 x ML

Simple and to the point. I took this idea from the Corn 1500 list in the CSM section. I think it works better with BA.

Playing for the wipeout is a bold strategy and I know it's corrupting the idea but you could do worse than replace Mephiston there with a Tactical Squad or 2 just on the off chance you want to win Objective games.

Yeah, I know. Death Company can never be scoring units, and I doubt this list would be able to wipeout an enemy army. It's a fun list, just not too competitive in a tournament setting.

Okay, here's a more practical and still fun list.

HQ:
Librarian - jump pack, sanguine sword, might of heroes

Troops:
Death Company (5) - Lemartes, jump packs, 1xpowerfist, 4xpower weapon
Assault Squad (5) - meltagun, powerfist
Assault Squad (5) - meltagun, powerfist
Tactical Squad (10) - plasmagun, missile launcher, rhino - extra armor
Tactical Squad (5) - razorback (default loadout)

Fast Attack:
'Baal' class predator - HB sponsons
'Baal' class predator - HB sponsons, HK missile, dozerblade

Why not just swap out the tactical squads for assault squads, drop the jump packs, and get your vehicles at a reduced cost? You could use the extra points to get a priest for feels no pain and furious charge. Sure, you'd loose the bolters, but the added priest makes the unit tougher and confers the bonus to anything unit within 6 inches.

Great idea, grumpyolddragon! 5-man tac + razorback = 145, 5-man assault + razorback = 120. The full man tactical squad costs the same as the full man assault squad with two meltaguns. I would gain 7 attacks in cc, but lose my long range ML. The problem is that I don't have any no jump pack assault troops modeled. But, that's easily remedied.
