1500 Points Tournament List

I want to take a different direction with my BA tournament list. I've come up with 2 alternatives. Looking to see which one people prefer and c&c.

LIST 1

HQ

Librarian
Unleash Rage, Shield of Sanguinius
100 pts

TROOPS

Scout Squad (5)
4 Sniper Rifles, Missile Launcher, Camo Cloaks
100 pts

Assault Squad (10)
2 Meltaguns, Hand Flamer, Power Fist
245 pts

ELITES

Furioso Dreadnought
Frag Cannon, Heavy Flamer, Extra Armour
150 pts

Terminator Assault Squad (5)

3 Thunder Hammers and Stormshields, 2 Pairs of Lightning Claws
215 pts

Sanguinary Priest
50 pts

Sanguinary Priest
Jump Pack
75 pts

FAST ATTACK

Vanguard Veteran Squad (5)
Jump Packs, Power Fist, 2 Power Weapons, 2 Melta Bombs
215 pts

HEAVY SUPPORT

Stormraven Gunship
4 Blood Strike Missiles, Twin-Linked Lascannon, Multi-Melta, Extra Armour
215 pts

Predator
Autocannon, Lascannon Sponsons
135 pts

Librarian and Priest on foot go with Terminators in the Stormraven, Furioso possibly on board as well. Might consider holding him back, depending on mission/circumstance. Will do what I can to hide the raven on deployment, but will still have 5+ cover save from Librarians shield. Turn 1 move out and unload all blood strikes, turn 2 move in to deliver the payload.

Everything else just causes as much damage as possible and take objectives. Predator will be deployed offset to any objectives on my side and or Scouts.

LIST 2

HQ

Librarian
Jump Pack, Unleash Rage, Shield of Sanguinius
125 pts

TROOPS

Scout Squad (8)
7 Sniper Rifles, Missile Launcher, Camo Cloaks
148 pts

Assault Squad (10)
Flamer, Meltagun, Power Fist
230 pts

Assault Squad (5)
Flamer, Power Weapon, Melta Bombs
125 pts

ELITES

Furioso Dreadnought
Frag Cannon, Heavy Flamer, Searchlight, Extra Armour
151 pts
Drop Pod
35 pts

Furioso Dreadnought
Blood Talons, Heavy Flamer, Searchlight, Extra Armour
151 pts
Drop Pod
35 pts

Sanguinary Priest
Jump Pack
75 pts

HEAVY SUPPORT

Dreadnought
Multi-Melta, Extra Armour
120 pts
Drop Pod
35 pts

Predator
Autocannon, Lascannon Sponsons
135 pts

Predator
Autocannon, Lascannon Sponsons
135 pts

Furiosos drop in first together and let rip with the templates. Could possibly run them on foot and pods come in empty, depends on circumstance. I took the searchlights on them as on turn one they will be up close (in theory) so they can light up targets for my Predators etc.

Dreadnought follows when available to join up with Furiosos or if there's a chance to pop a vehicle with the multi melta I may do that instead. Preferrably keep all the dreds together.

5 man assault squad will hang back as speed bump for Scouts/objective

Again everything else just causes as much damage as possible and take objectives. Predators will be deployed offset to any objectives on my side and or Scouts.

Just a man, with a man's courage...and Terminator armour.

You have included a lot of firepower in both lists, however in a tournament setting you are going to find that you need more troops as they are the only units that can capture objectives. For this reason I like your second list. It gives you the staying power you need (scouts) while maintaing offensive assests as well (assault squads and DP Dreads).

A fair comment, but with my playstyle I only ever plan to hold 1 or 2 objectives max. For me it's all about contesting and investing more points into more violent units.

I am leaning towards the 2nd list also though.

Just a man, with a man's courage...and Terminator armour.

I like the second list, too.
